Welcome to Leaving Trax! This channel was all about two of my passions - motorcycling and exploring. It’s now broadened to travelling and exploring!
As a foreigner living in Nepal there is so much of the country I still have to see.

Working full time and having a busy family life doesn't leave as much time as I'd like to explore this amazing country. But when I do get out and about I want to share some of these adventures with you. And inspire you to get out there and explore these places!

Driving the mountain roads of Sudurpashchim in the Far West of Nepal
I travelled to the remote district of Bajhang and then the even more remote municipality of Talkot in the Far West of Nepal. Why? To handover to the local community a birthing centre built by ADRA following an earthquake that had devastated the region.
Treacherous mountain roads, river crossings, landslides and stunning vistas… it was one epic journey!

Riding Siruma on a Royal Enfield Himalayan | Philippines hidden paradise
มุมมอง 4573 ปีที่แล้ว
Off the beaten track, unspoilt, and the Philippines’ last frontier, Siruma is a secluded and largely unexplored part of Camarines Sur in Bicol. With pristine beaches, rolling green hills and great tracks for riding it feels untouched and the perfect place for an escape. Siruma was perfect place for a ride. My only mistake… not staying for a few nights!
Ride to Calabanga - Bicol | COVID-19 Response with ADRA | Motorcycle Philippines
มุมมอง 6513 ปีที่แล้ว
I love getting off the beaten track and exploring some of the lesser visited corners of the Philippines. On my recent ride through the region of Bicol, I visited another ADRA project that was supporting communities disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. So here's a quick glimpse of Calabanga (Camarines Sur) and how the communities are recovering from the pandemic restrictions. Find out more about ...
Ride for a Cause in Bicol | Typhoon Response with ADRA | Motorcycle Philippines
มุมมอง 2553 ปีที่แล้ว
It's not often that I get to combine two passions of mine: motorcycles and humanitarian relief. But in this slightly different video I get to do both! Most of my days are spent behind a desk or in meetings, but occasionally I get to visit one of ADRA's projects and meet the people we are helping. On this trip, I’m riding around Camarines Sur in Bicol (Philippines) to visit areas severely impact...
Cavite to Bicol Ride | Taal, Bitukang Manok, Naga & More | Solo Ride
มุมมอง 3.2K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Cavite to Bicol. It's a ride I've been hoping to do for a while but the pandemic and travel restrictions had prevented it. At 355km it's a long 9 hr slog with lunch and a couple of photo stops included. But there's no better way to travel... particularly when social distancing! The Bitukang Manok (chicken intestine) section is a highlight along with Taal Volcano near the start and the scenery r...
How to Climb Mount Marami | On Royal Enfield & KTM Motorcycles | Cavite - Philippines
มุมมอง 7573 ปีที่แล้ว
Today we’re attempting to climb a mountain… on a motorcycle! In fact, two motorcycles: a Royal Enfield Himalayan and KTM 390 Adventure. Mt Marami is only an hours ride from home so we’re gonna see what we can get done in an afternoon! Those of you into dual sport or adventure motorbikes will know there's a bit of a rivalry between these two bikes. I confess I’m biased so I’ll leave it to you to...
How to Ride from Baguio | Asin Road Less Travelled
มุมมอง 8263 ปีที่แล้ว
With Kennon Road closed and having travelled the Marcos Highway on the last couple of visits, I wanted to find another road down from Baguio. That’s when I heard of a road less travelled - the Asin Road. This road was only completed a few years back, which may explain the lack of traffic. It’s often worth getting off the beaten track and exploring hidden gems - this is certainly one of them! Ru...
Baguio Ride | Itogon & Ambuklao Dam | Royal Enfield Himalayan | Philippines
มุมมอง 2.7K3 ปีที่แล้ว
An incredible ride around the mountain roads of Baguio and Itogon on a Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycle.On-road, Off-road. All roads, No roads. This ride had it all with epic scenery, mountains, valleys, landslides, rivers, lakes and much, much more. I even got to visit a disaster risk reduction project run by ADRA that is helping communities in this high-risk region become more resilient to ...
The Road to Baguio | Skyway Extension | Marcos Highway | Pandemic Travel
มุมมอง 3363 ปีที่แล้ว
When work calls you up to Baguio (Philippines), why not turn it into a motorcycle adventure on my Royal Enfield Himalayan? Got to try out the newly opened Skyway Extension and it cuts SO MUCH TIME from the old journey fighting through Manila's notorious traffic! Kennon Road was closed so it was the longer Marcos Highway into Baguio... and of course everything changes with the "new normal" entry...
Haduan Bridge near Pinatubo | The Sacobia River Lahar | Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycle
มุมมอง 3563 ปีที่แล้ว
The eruption of Mount Pinatubo in 1991 created destructive lahars that scarred the province of Pampanga. 30 years on and they're a beautiful part of the landscape. Riding up to Baguio you only catch a glimpse so I had to get off the main road and explore by motorcycle.

@@leavingtrax6521 Yes Sire, You're Welcome 🏍️🏍️
It was nice travelling vicariously with you on this road less travelled by from Baguio, Tom! :)
Thanks, Wilson. Glad you enjoyed it. I’m impressed with your use of the word vicariously. I had to get out my dictionary!:-)
@@leavingtrax6521 Hey, you are the one from Hertfordshire who is 76 miles away from Oxford, right? Haha
Nice video, very relaxing and captures the joy of touring. Keeping narration to a minimum is a nice touch for this effect. Hoping for more quality content in remote places the Himalayan can take you.
Thanks for the comment - great to hear your feedback!
finally a royal enfield adventurer channel ti follow. ride safe sir
Glad you like it... enjoy!
Y’all drive on the right side?!
Yeah, we drive on the right side here. Lack of British influence!:-)
sub'd.. great content...i miss riding ph. I rented the Himalayan a few years ago and took it to Sagada and Benguet looking for coffee. Good info on the requirement heading North.. did you get tested again at John Hay?
I love riding in this part of the country - great mountain roads. I've a video coming out soon of my ride around Itogon and the beautiful Ambuklao and Binga lakes. At John Hay they just wanted to check again the test I had done before leaving Manila.
@@leavingtrax6521 Next time you head back to Baguio.. try this adv route we did .. the Himalayan should be able to tackle it easily. Its a barangay with fun rough sections .. dont worry no single tracks. The route will pass by Philex mine and spit you out near Ambuklao road. th-cam.com/video/nLLy8G3viWw/w-d-xo.html
@@Dirtxplore Great video... I’ll try that route when I’m up that way again!
Your companion has KTM 390 ADV same as my bike! :)

Thanks for sharing. Seen from Adventourer. Ride safe!
I saw you did the DRT loop just before Christmas... you inspired me to try it but my plans fell through. Definitely ride it sometime!
Thanks Tom for sharing part of your life. God bless you and please say hello to the family.
Good to hear from you, Dejan! We're all doing well. Hope you and your family are also well.
hi sir! i would like to try this route going to Real and Infanta Quezon too from Cavite.. my question is did you encounter checkpoints in Infanta or Real Quezon? New subscriber here!
Hi... definitely worth the ride! No checkpoints passed on the way to Infanta. I took the Famy-Infanta road there. On the way back there seemed to be a PNP checkpoint near the Santa Maria sign but they were only stopping cars on the way to Quezon.
@@leavingtrax6521 thank you sir for the information :)
