The best dad

Thank you Mr Pelkey for you service. I had a cousin who served in Company L, 279th Infantry Regiment, 45th Infantry Division,. He died on July 22, 1953, just five days short of the cease fire ending the conflict. His name was Corporal Martin David Wynalda. Your story helps me understand a little bit more about him. I also served in the Army and did 2 tours in Korea in the late 80's and into the 90's. I'm proud to have served in the footsteps of those who were there before me. Respect and Honor

This is my adoptive father. He died in August 2022, aged 91.

I'm married to his grand daughter.

If you ask most people in Britain about war in Korea Theyd stare back at you. Another forgotten police action. Like northern Ireland 😂🤣

I enjoyed the interview very much. One suggestion for any other, the sound quality was not the best perhaps the interviewee could have a mike on. But what I did hear was very interesting. Thank you for posting.
