In which I kind of land my axel, and totally botch the sit spin, but have a great deal of fun.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful Solo Ten Fox. :-)
For your first attempt, that is so freaking Amazing! I can do the axel and will be learning the double axel next year! Good job on your first attempt! Xxx (you are probably alot better now in 2021)💜⛸
Thank you very much! Yes, I do have this jump now and just recently started some difficult entries on it. Good luck with your double axel!
@@alejeather No problem! And thanks for the Good luck! Xx💜💜⛸
Awesome job wow!!!! Love ice dancing the feasta tango so fun!!!
where is a form of back scratch spin in flight? try to get it. But now it is not an axel cause there is pre-rotation and under-rotation. Now it is looking like butterfly))
but please remember this is her first attempt. It takes a while to get to the point you are describing.
what is that harness getup?
I enjoyed this! Very nice comments for you!!!
Indeed very nice...cheers!! I see this is 4 yrs ago. I hope you're still working and advancing to more fun with the dances!!
Cheers! I enjoyed this! Gonna watch the others!! Looked great to me!!! Blessings!
That was so nice
very nice skate!
This is beautiful! You are very artistic and elegant, which is something I struggle with as an adult skater. Way to go!
What kind of blades do you have?
Also, AWESOME spin! I've only worked on my flying sit spin a couple of times, but I can tell they're going to be fun!
Kim Keller thanks, Kim! I have MK Visions. I'd love to get back to these soon!
Awesome free skate! Your performance was definitely more Adult Bronze because you did a sit spin and several combination jumps like the Waltz and Toe jump combination.
Wow! You flew through some of those jumps! I love that you fought for your sit spin, although you fell (can't tell you how many times I have done that). I want to skate like you someday! Keep up the great work!
Nice :)!! How long have you been skating?
+DanaAtallah Thank you! At the time of this video, I'd been skating a little over four years.
Wow what a beautiful job! I'm practicing for my adult pre-bronze tests and just stumbled on your video. Super inspiring!
Looks like an axel but I think ur like a little less than a quarter more. I'm a figure skater and just landed it today
thank you i needed help with my backward edges . your backward edges look great .keep up the good work.
Congrats!
Thanks ! I need help. This helped. :)
<3 Nice axel and program!! Wow! you've progressed so fast since your last nationals :) <3
So cool!! I just competed in adult bronze too. You are really good! :) Congrats on your first place win!!
dazzlingone96 Thank you! This is from last year. You can check out this year's skate here: th-cam.com/video/OppF6BXxHqU/w-d-xo.html
just watched it!! :D Thank you! :)
alejeather how often do you practice and have lessons? your progressing really fast and your elements are so nice!
for how long have u been skating?
Wow! Great start! You've progressed so quickly in your jumps, well done! I still haven't done lutz yet, although I'm not rushing to learn that one lol :) Happy skating!
superpuddleducks Good luck with your lutz! That jump still gives me fits!
that is gorgeous, I'm so jealous!
Super great to ice monitor for you tonight! All the best to you! -Alexis
You did it!!!!
Yes! Thank you!
Hello, what do you know about Slough Ice Rink?
Nothing, sorry!
Very inspiring! I'm an adult beginner - haven't even signed up for lessons yet I'm that new, just have been toodling around the rink at the public skate sessions, lol. But I thought I was too old, at 42 to start. I'm determined now to pursue this!
There are really great opportunities for adults of all levels and ages to participate. It's a really special community. I'm biased of course, but I say pursue it!
Smile... I hope your skating and doing well. I didn't begin until age 66. It was difficult by I was determined!! Obviously level is limited, but second childhood is awesome!! Smile...
I love this!
Thank you!
Another one.. just seeing it for the first time 6 months later.. great job!
Just seeing this .... congratulations... how many jumps to get to this point would you estimate off harness? 150 or less? Now mid January.. how is it going?
Oh my, definitely more than 150! I probably did on average 10 axels a session, four sessions a week for over a year! Though I did stop practicing them briefly around ANs last year because I hadn't had a lesson on them in some time, it was probably over all more than an average of ten per session and it was about 15 months, so well over 2000! Struggling with consistency on the jump now, but still landing them.
That's awesome, do you plan to put it in your program this year? I can't believe I am not going!
WaltzJumps Yes! It's actually been in since I started competing at Silver in June, just underrotated! I'll miss seeing you at Nationals!
me too.
Wow! Congratulations!
Looks like an axel to me! Congrats. :)
congrats!!!!
i keep getting stuck on my edge rather then middle of my blade! So infuriating..
I think the problem might be that you don't get enough height and you open out too early... try pushing your right leg up further and pulling in faster, this will give you both more height and rotational speed... if you fall it might be a bit more painful because there's more force going into the jump but once you get the hang of it it'll be fine! Also, instead of pushing your arms straight up (they look over your head) just push them back with your leg before takeoff and pull them into your chest :) I'm not trying to be mean or anything but they're just my suggestions! You're sooooo close, good luck! xx
Looking great!
Wow! Fabulous!! :)
Oh wow! that looks really good!
Your dress is fabulous. Very fluid, fast and graceful!
Thanks! It's the least expensive dress I own but I'm always so impressed at how it looks when I see it in video!
Hello, I want to say that as an older adult skater, myself, you are an inspiration. I wish I had started as young as you. From music, to moves, technique and presentation, your performance was very good considering what you said about the nerves. I am Bronze level now and yet have to prove myself on the ice. Thank you for posting such a nice program.
i always enjoy watching your vids! Thanks for posting! I like the Choreography as well! Flowed nicely! Sorry bout your look accident but you went pro with it! :) Where do you buy your dresses?
Nice performance ! your jumpes are good ! and I love this music <3
That was a great performance! I don't think you look nervous, a bit tense yes but not nervous. Sorry about the loop accident but overall it was awesome!
Thanks, David! Yes, tense is maybe the right word. Silly loop--I got just the tiniest bit distracted and down I went!
your footwork and moves is quite advanced for prebronze??? you soldier!!! very nice program for your first competition. I'm a bit jelly of your performance :)
Your spins are getting so fast! They look great!
Thank you! :D
Can't wait to be able to do that myself! Good job on keeping consistency!
Well, they were consistent that day at least!
That was so good. I like that it looks easier starting from a sit spin and going into it.
This is the only way I've done them. I recently saw some kids going straight into the pancake. I've never thought to try it that way. I like getting the sit spin stable first.
That is a very good idea!
Tropicalskater: your program is beautiful! You did a great job. What's the name of the composer of this song? Your dress is also very pretty
Thanks, David! I have a video of a much better performance of this same program here: 2014 Adult Nationals - Bronze I FS The song is by composer Ludovico Einaudi.
i loved watching that! AMAZING! Where did you buy your dress?
Thank you! The dress is from Brad Griffies and I did the stoning myself.
