How do you guys maintain / clean your brush?
We have a broom box on our trailer that we soak our brooms in as soon as we are done. Check them out on line just type in sealing broom box.

Is there a way to sealcoat without leaving zebra striping, when using a squeegee? And I was just wondering if you use a sand mix?
Yes finish one way from left to right. When the job calls for sand we will use it.

4-5 years could be the worst advice I’ve ever heard. By the end of year 2 you will see those brush marks from every pass you made
Not true. Four to five years is right and when it wears it wears evenly. I watch all my driveways year after year.
We are going yo give ot a whirl, its kinda fun. We just started it to show our customers how we sealcoat a driveway.

on a normal ware driveway how many square ft per gallon please
Can’t go by that because every driveway has a different texture. But I can tell you for a 20x15 you would use 10 to 20 gallons. Hopefully that helps.

You sure can! Learn first it looks easy but it is actually harder than it looks. It took us about 5 years to get really good. Lots to learn but we are in our early fifty’s. You also don’t have to do as many as we do in a day. You could do what you feel is comfortable. Be good to your customers and always strive to do the best work. If I can answer and questions just let me know😀

So that when the sealer wears it wears evenly, and you do not have any what we call zebra stripes meaning dark and light.
I did my driveway last week. Those little helicopter things kept falling from the trees as i worked. I know it doesn't hurt anything but it was so annoying to watch.
lol I know! They will blow right off. But it is annoying when the driveway looks so good.

Do you guys fill cracks? If so what do you use?
Cracks that are over 1/4inch wide we do fill. We use a hot tar crack machine. We use Deery hot jacketed crack filler. Thanks for the good ??

How do you get your customers ? Do you do advertising ? Do you know if Blackjack is a quality brand sealer?
Word of mouth we have 8 thousand + customers. Very little advertising. The Blackjack in buckets from TSC was good in the mid 90s. Would recomend Star Seal now or Neyra.

Hey Guys thank you again for the shout out and I am getting busy the phone has been ringing the past 2 days ... I just recently did a huge driveway and I kept telling my self to bring my camera because I wanted to film it and edit it and dedicate the video to you guys for supporting me and you guys have gave me the strength and support to make the content but when I got to the Job I realize I forgot my camera :( ... but since I have been watching you and your wife it has given me the courage to keep going for it and I would just like to thank you both !!! And yes I agree that the Customer is always right, I recently went on an estimate and I was honest with the Customer and his blacktop was like 6 months old and I totally told him call me in 2 years because you don't need a sealcoat and he was so grateful that I was honest that he left me a 5 star review with some blessed words !!! Keep on making great content you guys and when I post my first video I will share with both of you !! ❤

That’s about average. That one took about 20 gallons. We’ve done ones that take 300 gallons. One time we did a parking lot that I had a tanker delivered on the job with 3000 gallons.😀 thanks for watching👍

First let me start by saying Thank You for taking the time and making this video !!(LOVE the title) Secondly I will be a subscriber for Life !!! Make some apparel merchandise and I will be the first to buy !!! The information in the video was great and yes my lady was correct .. I was asking about the end of the driveway but not really the cut in, it was more about the amount of sealer to put down at the end ... like the gentleman said it comes with "experience" hopefully I will get there !!! Also love the tips about the finishing but I did use your technique and worked out amazing. Will be trying the "lift up on the broom" technique as well ... will let you know how it works for me ... I recently had that problem with steaming and got super nervous but I just went as fast and as carefully as possible ... every driveway where I am has crazy expensive paver outline around the asphalt and customers are very serious not to get a drop on them which they are right ... I'm using an edger broom first and then moving onto the sealer broom it's just me so I have to move quick !!! Anytime you want to come to Long Island New York and run a crane you let me know lol and yes the gentleman was correct about the benefits ... as of right now trying to start/operator a business and be a full time crane operator ... would be a dream to leave the crane industry for my own business but as of right now I have a 4 yrs old daughter and just had a baby boy on March 26th so the benefits are huge right now ... please keep up the great content get merchandise immediately and where can I find you on other social media like Instagram, Facebook, tik tok, ect ... thank you again have a great weekend !!!

I have to say I love this channel ... I started a sealcoat company at the end of last year and I work full time as a crane operator ... I just did 2 driveway today and used your finishing method RIGHT TO LEFT and saw a huge difference WOW I love it and the Customer loved it .. I noticed in this video the lady said "it's steaming" same happened to me today and the high was 60 degrees but I just worked faster and boogied lol .. for your next video can you please show how you finish at the very end edge of the driveway ... I am having some problems and looking for techniques.. keep up the great content you guys !!

Any shots of it cured? Maybe a before and after? The during is super satisfying to watch. I agree with the broom method giving such a better coat than spraying. Thanks for the insight into techniques, I'm sealing mine in a few weeks time.

No Coal Tar! It is LP Sealer>
