This would’ve been the perfect way to close out Hannah’s Suicide Arc and begin a much darker and grittier arc for the series.

Here's how the shooting plays out. After Tyler shoots Clay; who's not dead btw, Tyler storms into the dance, shooting everyone. Some are dead, and some are severely Injured. First, he shoots Bryce in the head. Bryce died instantly. He points the gun at Jessica, but Justin runs in front of her before Tyler shoots him in the chest, and Justin falls down and died in Jessica's arms. Then Zach rushes in and tackles Tyler, trying to restrain the gun from him, but Tyler grabs his other gun from his belt, shoots Zach in the leg, and shoots three more shots in his back, paralyzing him. He turns to Courtney, fires a few shots at her, and she fell down dead. He then shoots Ryan, and he fell down dead. Then the police arrived, trying to get Tyler to surrender, but Tyler points his gun at his head and said "I am Tyler Down, and one day, you will remember my name!" Before he shoots himself in the head and died. If the shooting did happen, Jessica lost her love, Alex gets angrier, Zach would be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life, Tyler's parents lost their son, everyone blames Clay, and Liberty High will never be the same. But thank God for Clay stopping Tyler, telling him that he doesn't want him to die.

That would have been amazing, in a tragic and horrible way. It would have been gutwrenching, dramatic, and far more realistic. It would also take more guts than any Hollywood screenwriter currently has. There are plenty of spec scripts and amateur writers who would gladly take that risk because they have nothing significant to lose. But the pros? They're not touching this with a ten-foot pole. Not in 2018, at least.

This is a good edit, very Sopranos. I agree this is how it should have ended. Not because I wanted the shooting plot, but because its better for the story.

Oh god, it would be SO MUCH better. The black screen would give the opportunity to not kill Clay or someone that they don't want, and would let that big cliffhanger. P.S: Before someone say something here, I don't approve any of these things in real life, I'm just talking about the show.
