JDS Shutter and Bimetallic Ring Gate 3, in my opinion, are the most representative and powerful works in the single metal and bimetallic shutter series. Firstly, there's no need to mention the JDS shutter. Idling has greatly improved. Compared to the previous two generations, Huanmen 3. The idle decay has slowed down a lot. Can play long tricks. The weight of 67g actually makes it easy to play without feeling sluggish or bulky. (Especially referring to the second generation EVO, which has a strong burst of space-time rotation power just after delivery. However, the idle decay is too fast. After a set of speed combos, the idle will slow down). In my opinion, Gate 3 in the YYF ball can be ranked third, with MoZ being the first one (light and agile, with a very noticeable feedback of hitting the line. However, for players who usually play heavy yoyo, it may be too light and fast, making it difficult to control the ball). The second one is the PC Miracle (compared to the PC Miracle, the aluminum outer ring Miracle has improved a lot in terms of idle and stability. It may be for the sake of the Yoyo competition, but I won't participate in it).

Great review. How would the thruline be for a beginner learning unresponsive? I do like the quality of one drop and have a top deck and cabal. How would it compare and what quality one drop yo-yo would you recommend for something that is forgiving and easy to play/learn basic tricks? Thanks!

I disagree. No matter what you do, understanding your purpose and needs is always the most important thing. If you require a specific feature in something, no amount of additional advantages can make up for the absence of that feature. Different people have different needs, and the same goes for yoyo players. How can there be an "objectively better" option? I love yoyo that comfortable in hand, the weight distribution and shape that suits regen tricks, etc., so even after years of yoyoing and tried hundreds of yoyos, I never loved these "GREAT" japaness yoyos, becasuse they are in the oppsite side of what I need. Performance should be tested on your tricks, not someone else's, and the result only useful for someone similar to you. I can tell my skill is much better than yours, you are actually comment on fast acceleration without a full rail combo lol. If u say that surveillance performs better that sugar glider, Im gonna laugh at your face, because highly rim weighted, sharp edges and low wall never helps me, and these are not great yoyos for me.

Really cool documentary. I remember seeing Draupnir everywhere circa 2014. I remember grabbing my own and then before I knew it I had 3 of them, along with the plastic versions and the overdraupnir. Truly a legendary yoyo.

smt - Just a hypekid with an outdated profile yoyo design born from anglam and likes luxury stuff yyr - draupnir fanboi and loves playing horizontal arm hops like yamaki and kasuga yomega - don't want to make a new modern design and still get stuck in the early 2000's era wi1d - using a same decade old profile design since god trick cyclone 1 but adding extra steps honorable mention: recess 2015-2016 was their hayday then it fell off slowly just my two cents 😅
