Fixing the damage on my is300, and a new interior!
Trying my hand today at fixing the quarter damage on my is300. I’m trying to learn how to do paint and body and I figured the best thing would be to fix my own car. I also picked up some new seats as my old ones were pretty bad!

In todays video, I’m looking into what caused the alternator to catch fire, and why my car keeps going through alternators. Hopefully we can find the issue and fix it once all the new parts arrive! Well… I’ve been wanting to make a vlog for some time, just haven’t really known how to go about it. This one may seem tacky but I figured; if I’m going to start vlogging, what better way than to just jump in and start recording. If there is anything y’all would like me to cover, let me know down below in the comments. Thanks for watching!!
wheels spec pl
how much hp?
Nice.i want to boost my GS300 but I gotta finish my 240 first. And save some money.😅
Stop, youre inspiring me
Nice 1is and good job on blacking out the headlights 🎉💪😎
What did you do for the primary o2 sensors
I’m not running any oem o2 sensors. Just the wideband for the ecu is all it needs
Nice work, beautiful IS
Hello, what is the name of the front lip?
If you need help tuning the EMU black. Let me know, I can offer some help with it.
Thank you! I’m hoping to get it on a dyno soon but I’ll for sure hit you up if I have some questions
Love the build so far man, it’s a dream of mine to boost my manual swapped Sportcross. Probably won’t go this far I’d be happy with a simple 300-350whp. Excited to see more progress on this and hopefully you don’t run into anymore issues like the ECU. 🤘🏻🫡
what roof rack system are you using? looks sick
I think they’re just cheap universal racks. I took them off though. Actually got the whole roof box setup for sale right now
Hey brother, your is300 looks really good. What size/offset wheels and tires are you running ?
I can’t remember my exact specs. But the wheels are Revolve AVPD 1219. Staggered 18” - 8.5 +35 front - 9.5 +38 rear if I remember correctly. Tires are same size all around, just stretched in the rear
hey, was this car for sale on facebook marketplace?
It was, I was having a bad week lol.. you know how it is
@@berardmedia6688 Will you sell it or finish the build?
@@husband_thingsI am going to finish it for sure. If everything goes well it should be done soon. Whether I sell it or not afterwards we shall see. I’ll want to enjoy the car for a little while
Great work so far keep up the good work!
I have an extra tray for the dashboard. Lmk if you still need one. I think you said you had one coming. But figured I would mention it
Great progress brother!
Thanks!
Why did you put the fuel pump on a switch? Did the stock fuel system not work? Or does the new fuel hat not plug and play with the stock Toyota fuel pump connector?
Love your content! Helped me with a lot of my build. I have a walboro 525 and wanted to run thicker wire. Plus switch = race car lol
@@berardmedia6688 Ah, i see. Hey thanks for watching! Happy to hear that you have tuned in. Looking forward to seeing you get the car up and running?
waiting for part 4 mate. keep up
How many miles does it have and much boos are you planning to run
Rods and pistons then turbo.. that hard? Lol
R154 swap T56 if you got cheddar cheese my boi

Wat did u do for the oil line specifically 🤔
A good spot to get oil for the turbo is from the oil filter "union" bolt - the big hollow bolt that holds the oil filter housing to the block. It is tapped in the center for the oil pressure switch; just install a tee so you can retain your oil pressure switch AND get oil for the turbo. Conversely, you can remove one of the pipe plugs in the top of the oil filter housing, and replace with a 90* 4AN fitting for the oil line. In terms of oil return from the turbo to the pan - there is a big fat boss in the "upper" oil pan, meant for the oil return fitting. Simply drill/tap for suitable fitting. 16AN is a suitable size.
Post more vids
Damn you better get this one running and send an update video! Would love to hear about the pulls afterwards. What size is that turbo? I am going to pull apart my 2jze ge and idk if i want to swap the rods for a low boost so i van keep my stock ecu
This one is a 58/62! I’d definitely recommend it, maybe find a non vvti block and rotating assembly if you want to up the power. Check marketplace for deals on standalone ecus! Def worth it. I’ll have a new video up tomorrow night hopefully showing what all I’ve done
What turbo manifold are you running ?
Hey! I believe it’s the cxracing manifold, I bought it used with the rest of my turbo setup so I’m not entirely sure, but it looks like it!
yes, make more content for the is300.
When you decide to go with a forward facing intake plenum. Check out the RAD industries manifold adapter
Definitley going to do it in the future! The parts list is growing way too fast right now lol
Dodo racing makes some awesome 2jz-ge to gte ffim manifolds
@@iwashmystang +1 on the Dodo Racing GE-T intake runners. I used those on mine; and they fit/worked great. Way Way sweeter than an adaptor plate which places the GTE upper plenum so high and far outboard.
This the content im about i'm about to buy my 4th 1jzgte is200. theres just something about these with turbo jz's that just hit different, they slide so fucking well too!!!!!! look after the motor and make sure to change the oil and clean the vvti filter frequently !
I’m so excited to get this one running!
Should of just had them media blasted then polish.
I could’ve but it’s all about what I have the means to do 🤙🏻 I’m just enjoying the process.
my truck looks so wonky lol
