Warching this movie without any spoilers or descriptions was one of the best things I've ever done. I never cry because of films but the ending hirt so bad. I felt horrible for them. The scene where Neil gets r*ped towards the end already had me on edge. I just wish we could've seen Neil's friends a bit at the end but overall it was perfect. Maybe things won't be ok. Maybe you'll never feel better.

and as we sat there listening to the carolers,i wanted to tell Brian it was over now and everything would be okay. but that was a lie, plus,i couldn't speak anyway. i wish there was some way for us to go back and undo the past. But there wasn't. there was nothing we could do. so i just stayed silent and trying to telepathically communicate how sorry i was about what had happened. and i thought of all the grief and sadness and f***ed up suffering in the world, and it made me want to escape. i wished with all my heart that we could just leave this world behind. Rise like two angels in the night and magically... disappear.

This scene made me sob uncontrollably. Such a powerful movie.

I remember buying the Sound on Sound magazine back in the mid-late 90’s. They always had this CD with demo samples plus a few songs. Then THIS song hit me! It was great! Sadly SoS had a BAD CD pressing that kept skipping occasionally through the song. Even today I am half expecting these skips when I listen to the song even when they are not there. THAT is how much I used to listen to it back in the day - even with the glitches.

i love his delivery of the last line - it's subtle but powerful. no overly dramatic, cinematic flouish of poignance. joseph gordon-levitt is so good at powerfully restrained acting.

God, this movie is intensely wonderful in so many ways. This ending… in my whole life I haven't watched such wonderful and realistic end to a film. I will always hold this gem dear to my heart. Beautiful and eye opening movie everyone should watch!
