Thanks! This was 5 years ago and I'm still using this hammock, underquilt, and suspension set up, along with others but this is still my go to set up. I hiked the whole Appalachian trail with it. I have switched to a dyneema tarp for weight saving and more coverage.

Will work but my guess is being over 6', an 11' hammock would be the ticket for maximum comfort. I think the hyperlite is 10.5'

That's the Hennessy hex fly. Decent tarp for the money, just gotta pitch super tight/perfect in bad and windy weather. My favorite bad weather tarp is the warbonnet superfly. Also love my hammock gear DCF tarp with doors. Check out my other channel flopflipped_at for some videos with those tarps!

Ever been on one dude? Ride it once and you'll understand it's not a motorcycle. Did I not tell them I'd leave if the sign had an ordinance? I've been to this park 1000s of times. I been stopped by other cops, too you just tell em it's an e bike. Don't do dumb shit and no one's gonna bother ya. Are you by any chance from the UK? I see how much wasted effort goes into enforcing silly laws over there.

@@torktastic521 you don’t have to be ignorant. That’s a choice you make. When you make the wrong choices based on ignorance you can make yourself look a fool. You made a fool of yourself with those cops. You were wrong. You were dishonest. You were brazen and hostile in the way you are dealing with them. I’m simply suggesting you display a less hostile facade when you are purely at the mercy of the ignorance of others. Had you been interacting with an informed officer, your attitude would have likely caused you to get your illegal motorcycle impounded. I don’t care what they ‘feel’ like, the fact of the matter is the law defines that as a motorcycle. In closing, this is TH-cam, all you have to do is click my name. That would have saved you from looking like a fool a second time but rather than looking at the information that is readily available to you, you chose to be ignorant to the point you couldn’t even click your mouse to know what you are talking about. I’m from NYC and I ride 40+ mph bikes in NYC regularly. If you want to act like you know the law, at least know the law. You don’t.

I deff know the law. Also know how to keep those with badges from stepping on me. Also, those park rangers are like babysitters. If it was a sheriff I wouldn't have even stopped. The fact that no bikes are allowed on the trails is a travesty. And if you knew NJ law, you'd know I need pedals for it to be a moped. If I put fake pedals on it I'm good? The laws need to catch up and until there's a reasonable way for it to be done/enforced I will not respect those who wish to enforce said laws.

Its for sure less of a grey area then is commonly discussed. It's not road legal, that's for sure. I can tell you it's not a dirt bike, and it's not a mtn bike. It falls pretty squarely in between in terms of how it rides/handles. I can't even reg as a moped cuz no pedals. Basically, my whole thing is how is a horse less dangerous then someone on a bike who slows down for people/blind turns? In terms of the law, I never equate legality and with morality. The fact that no bikes are allowed om the trails but horses are is silly. Its a county park, near an urban hub. I bet more people would be interested in biking it then riding on horse back.

@@torktastic521 You are right. It's very stupid, if they allowed people to ride these on the road, be it with being registion and off road in certain places like e-bikes. You'd hopefully get people out of their cars and traveling to work on an affordable electric bike that isn't overly slow or fast & more people enjoying the outdoors. I'm sure more people would actually support having these on the trails over horse poop, if their ever was a horse to be seen & these are silent enough not to spook the horses unlike motorbikes. For the the sake of global warming in all that stuff, if you get in trouble with the law just apologize but also argue that you bought it to save the planet, and since its carbon nutural you throught you'd go out and enjoy the sun for the day on it & push for them to give you an answer where you can ride it as electric is only becoming more common.

There's reasons for those ordinances. Most likely to many people complained about unruly bikers on the paths and probably have accidents on record. It becomes a liability

Yeah, and honestly there's no reason they couldn't allow bikes on certain trails. The equestrian center in that park has a bit of a superiority complex (snobby rich ppl who wanna ride horses). I get it, but given how little access to trails there are in the area they could EASILY come up with a solution.

Hey if they can have a drone section why can't they dedicated a small portion for Mountain bikers? Maybe you should start a petition?

its close man! looking back at a vid where i thought it was worse.... actually it was flying great. with the rain coming gonna be tough to test, but i think i can walk back filters and make it a bit cleaner!
