I think best bet is try and lot a few, sell off and donate the rest. But I'll spin a few at least to enjoy with the family. Thank you!

Stay out of the vinyl game unless you are a collector and only buy what you know and play them with respect. Flipping for profit is tricky.

@@jlohmann13 thanks. I might have to chalk this up as a lesson learned. But I was hoping first for a few records id listen to. The smiths one is cool. So net net. A lesson a few records to keep, and some to flip. This one worked out. But I do need to be careful next time I come across a stack.

@@jlohmann13 it's like you dared me. I met a guy today with 600+ records. I wanted to offer to buy the lot. But I don't think there is much of value. All pop 1970-80s. Maybe a couple $50 records. But most $1-3. You tempted me to touch fire again. Jinxed me. 🤣🤣🤣

Yeah, rents, taxes, employees are expensive here in California.

Maybe we're seeing the beginnings of a business model that no longer can sustain itself. At least where I live, in california. Rent is so expensive. I'll give them that if they are squeezed by rent, and even getting free inventory. That it isn't viable. Sadly, the stores will just disappear. Or only survive in lower cost communities. Time will tell.

Another thing is that if it's a person pricing them, usually it's subjective. Most likely this was someone slapping a sticker on to get a higher average price and trying to make rate and for whatever neglectful reason they didn't see the front. However this is the job of the supervisors to make sure everything that goes out is reasonably priced so they obviously weren't doing their job.

I couldn't even afford it. If you ran a business you would out price all your customers? That doesn't feel sustainable.

Yeah if people see what the prices are. They will likely just keep their donations and sell their own garage sales.

I'm still new to reselling "professionally" versus adhoc over the years. I've only been going to thrift stores past year or two. I guess we shouldn't classify goodwill as a thrift store any longer.

facts! have you found any good deals though? I did find a sealed vintage board game for $5 that may sell for $50. We'll see how long till it sells. Though, if I made 3 trips to thrift store and got one thing. I can't say a $30-40 profit is worth while.

honestly it's like duct tape. I find a million different reasons. It's good to have on hand for me.I wrap things that might pop open or get extra scratches. I usually use this on books. Or anything I want to "bind" together. Like stack of cards or something. Then I drop in a polymailer. I might wrap records as well. Or instead of taping cardboard together. I might sandwich some cardboard around a record and then Saran wrap that.

I was actually wondering the same thing. I don't have a background with drums. My local music shop all had floor toms of their kits. But guy at local music store said you don't really need it. 🤷‍♂️

So I went back and looked. I have a snare, an 8", 10" and 12" tom and a 14"x12" tom? I'm thinking the 14" while not a traditional floor tom is the floor tom? If that makes any sense. There was an extra stand with a 3 way clamp thing. Any thoughts? Setting up a drum kit without any experience wasnt easy. 😅

You can add a tom arm to the cymbal stand and use the 14" tom as a hanging rack tom.. If you bring the mounted toms closer together on top of the bass drum it's easier to play as well :) Nice score regardless!!

@@nerdsreselling I have the exact same drumset in black it’s a 1990s Pearl export pro, the 8 and 10” toms are an expansion kit that I also have. The clamp was for a stand that can also be added to a cymbal stand you can add the Tom to one.
