    What do you mean it’s not as good as a store bought lathe ?!! Yours is better than my vevor 8x14” lathe !! Suggestion, if you want smooth finishes and no bumpy bumps it’s incredibly important that you get your x and y axis as rigid as possible with absolutely no movement. That way when you go to turn your part the tool post doesn’t move and your chuck needs to be extremely rigid with zero give. Also bolt your lathe to the table or tack it in place if you have a steel table . If you do this you will be able to make incredibly accurate parts down to the thousandth and below.

    I've been told PETG CF is significantly easier to print than regular PETG because the CF helps with the moisture and bridging during prints I bought 2 spools to try out because I hate printing regular PETG but I want to print things to go in my garage and not have them warp..

    I noticed that petg strength and stringing etc differentiate even with different color of the same brand. It can be that pla is stronger but in sommer its different story.. Try to use phone holder in car or so.. Pla is useless outdoors

    Theres some glaring problems here , you can't run a convergent jet nozzle when burning fuel at such a low pressure ratio , your compressor wheel won't be flowing the air its designed to flow , most of the air will simply be spinning around within the wheel with only a small proportion actually going to the combustor and out the jetnozzle .

    The problem with Arduino and ignition is that, the ignition makes el.spark with chreates small, very small emp (electro magnetic pulse) and that will mess up the Arduino.

    BTW, конструкции катастрофически не хватает жёсткости. Необходимо выровнять станину и добавить дополнительных рёбер жесткости. Также было бы неплохо использовать трубу без продольного пропила в узле крепления подшипников вала. Также не помешала бы самая простая задняя бабка с самым простым конусом на подшипнике. Это значительно увеличит качество обработки и повысит точность. Лично я бы ещё использовал не цепную передачу, а ременную, т.к. это исключит риски поломок в случае застревания резца в заготовке и снизит количество используемых деталей для передачи, что повысит надёжность и КПД системы. I am too lazy to translate all of this, so pls do it by yourself. It will be more accurate, than my own or online translation. Have a nice day!

    I primarily use PETG for its UV resistance and its temperature resistance but mostly the UV. PLA will not only melt or deform in sunlight but it will deteriorate as well. Not good for parts that need to be outside in the weather. I think that CF PETG is more for aesthetics and nothing more. It gives you that flat black finish that some find desirable.

      It's a 30psi pressure transducer hooked up to an arduino. The transducer outputs 0.5v to 4.5v depending on the pressure making it pretty easy to use with the arduino

      I looked into the definitions of things again to double check before I answer.. So this engine is called a motorjet, it's a motor driven compressor that feeds a combustion chamber to produce thrust. I don't think it would count as an afterburner because an afterburner is a secondary combustion stage, where my engine one has a single stage. Think of this like a turbojet without a turbine section

      @@Neally True, you are essentially doing the same thing as an afterburner does on a jet engine though - Increasing exhaust velocity and thus thrust. The difference is an electric motor is doing the first stage rather than a gas turbine engine. So it's probably inexplicably inefficient. Either way, i like it.

    When you need more compression, put some axial compressors before the centrifugal compressor. The diameter of the first axial compressor stage needs to be greater than the intake of your centrifugal compressor.

    Carbon fiber for consumer-grade 3d printers is a gimmick and a waste of money. Even under the BEST circumstances carbon fiber filament adds almost nothing to the the parts. Consumer-grade FDM printers are amazing, and for light-wear items and rapid prototyping, the are incredible machines. If you need more strength and stiffness, then there are better options.

      I think it's just some sort of interference on the hall effect sensor, it does the same thing at lower rpm too

    Try using a metal misting nozzle to atomize your fuel better and use a small fuel pump with an adjustable fuel pressure Regulator also you could produce more cfm with a 4" 12v DC inline duct fan or a bounce house pump

      @Neally that's cool the finer you can atomize or vaporize your fuel the more efficient it becomes also I gave it some thought have you tried boosting airflow with a Tesla turbine it's like a turbo but 1 in 1 out and can be fitted to a turbo,blower, or any other compressed air source I have a design myself I'm working on it just to expensive to build

      @@fuckyourbullshit6380 I haven’t thought of that actually, I wonder if you could use that sort of turbine to 3d print a proper turbocharger… Temperature might be an issue, but I imagine that can be solved with some clever thinking

      If you go to on shape they have turbo stl for cars you can print it in cfpla or something durable also my design if you'd like to try it is 1 Tesla model s electric motor housed in a 3d printed v8 mock up engine block that not only houses electric motor where crank,rods, pistons and cam but doubles as a spot for the supercharger and its air box that will flow to a series of turbos this is how I ordered them Linear to parallel to compounding to sequential If you wanna know more I got loads more info and creative ways of sourcing things for cheap you never knew you already had laying around
