Particle flows consist of two main phases: a continuous fluid and dispersed particles moving within it. These two phases interact by exchanging mass, momentum, and energy. At 6:25 , 0.1 from input for MXEPS on the *MAT_ADD_Erosion card for concrete. How was 0.1 determined? Do you have a reference for it. I have been trying to find a reference for a good erosion value when modeling concrete using 072R3. For unconfined concrete, peak strength is typically at about 0.002 strain and it for reinforced concrete, the cover begins to spall at about twice that (0.004) according to J.B. Mander (J. Struct. Eng., 1988). Are you using 0.1 due to the high strain rate? You results look really good. Just looking for a reference to show my management 🙂 Thanks!

    at 6:25 , In the *MAT_ADD_EROSION section, how can the parameter MXEPS be calculated? Is it computed as the ratio between the maximum principal stress and the elastic modulus? However, since steel has a plastic deformation stage, how is this parameter calculated for steel?

    • @dfetech
      @dfetech 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi TấnĐạtPhan-s7c, MXEPS in *MAT_ADD_EROSION is variable to invoke a failure criterion based on maximum principal strain. For more info on *MAT_ADD_EROSION, please refer to LS-DYNA Manual Volume II. To better describe the material behavior, you may consider using other advanced materials like *MAT_JOHNSON_COOK, *MAT_PIECEWISE_LINEAR_PLASTICITY, etc. Thank you.

    Hello, I have a few questions regarding thermal and harmonic analysis of a part in Ansys. My first question is, I will keep it at 23°C for 1 hour. Then I will reduce it by 3°C per minute and wait for it to reach -60°C. When it reaches -60°C, I have to keep it at this temperature for 2 hours. Then I will increase it by 3°C per minute and wait for it to reach 23°C. I will keep it at 23°C for 2 hours. My second question is that I will need to keep the relevant part in a 90% humidity environment at 30°C for 1 hour, and at 50°C in a 95% environment for 3 hours. My 3rd question is that I will subject the relevant part to 3g peak-to-peak simple harmonic analysis from 10 Hz to 60 Hz in every 3 axes for 10 minutes. How do I do this type of work in Ansys workbench ? Can you make an example application? Thank you for your answer, best regards...

    Firstly, thank you for tutorial. ı have a question. when you did beam section you wrote TS1=25 and TS2=25 for both rebars. Are these values diameter for rebars? if these values are diameter, longitudinal and transverse rebars diameter have same thickness. This is wrong in civil engineering.Transverse rebars have mostly 10 mm diameter. in this tutorial, did you not care these values.about rebar thickness.

      Hi Zafer, Firstly, thanks for your comment. We hope this video do provide some help on your activities. TS1 & TS2 are the outer diameters, you also can enter inner diameter in TT1 & TT2. For other settings, please refer to LS-DYNA Manual Volume I. The intension of this video is to guide users how to use S-ALE in LS-DYNA, so we don't actually care the value as long as the model is work, we are able to change it afterward when needed. All the parameter in section/material/EOS are freely to change, as long as the UNIT in LS-DYNA are CONSISTENT. Thank you & wish you a wonderful journey with LS-DYNA.

      @@leiyang8499 Third node is needed when you have a non symmetrical cross section. Meaning, if the beam elements has a rectangular shape, then you need the third node to indicate the orientation of the cross section. Of course, 1 beam vs 20 beam elements will make a difference in the results. More elements will give more accurate approximations to the solution.
