The book of Mormon the Bible, the Quran, the magavica any other holy book. They're all the same. Written by men for men. There is no god and most definitely no word of God....
He should have talked more about the book’s purposes and less about the translation process.
Looking forward to your videos. Hope you are ok. Missing your lessons.
Hello from Saint George Utah❤
great video🎉
I’m just checking in. I listen to the podcast on Amazon Music. I love it! When is the next episode coming out?
Thank you for your thoughtful message. I apologize for the gap in episodes! It’s so nice to hear that you’re enjoying the messages. I hope to get the next ones out soon. And I hope you’re enjoying a wonderful Sabbath!
Lauren, sister of wise whisper! I think you utter good mutter. I’m thinking that there’s power in the basics. Like having a prayer life, and a scripture life. Regarding dear friend in distress, Book of Mormon has clue: “Have ye inquired of the Lord?” To pray, and listen. I’m so glad I know that at my age of 67, because I used to just sit and stew in my problem. Now I talk with God - I pray, stay, and listen. Cheers to you, Daughter of Zion!
President Nelson!! Thank you so much for taking the time to do this brief "study" for us. I love you so much and give thanks for you and Sister Nelson every day as well as your counselors and the quorum of the 12 and their families. I love being taught by you. It was like having you in my own living room. It means so much to me. I know you are busy, but I do hope you will do more. There are lots of great scholars out there, but no one like you. ❤ Thank you so much again! Sending much love to you and sister Nelson, Elizabeth
It's more metaphorical than literal. What a gaslighter and proven fraud. Hysterical and not HIstorical.

I’m turned on by this😅
Why tf this stem cell eater on my feed what a creep!
The KJV is not so much a translation as it is a revision of the Bishop’s Bible. It is what the ESV is to the RSV.
Thank you so much for your insights. I love listening every week!
Thank you President Nelson.
Think about this you old, creepy Rusty: The Book of Mormon is a 19th Century fairy tale that your false con man Joseph Smith wrote.
The most Racist Cult in America. Just go to Utah and prove me right.
Just go to Africa, South America, Haiti, any of the Polynesian islands and it proves that the church is NOT racist. Perhaps you're the racist one who ALWAYS looks at skin color first and foremost.
Soooobeit Hecho está Amén Amén y Amén THANKYOU THANKYOU Amén Amén y Amén THANKYOU Para Mi Chinto….Translación ❤❤❤😊
When did they add the title page in? What year? Also, how did he translate the book? Looking at a stone in a hat, right? Never actually reading from the “plates.”
Richard Lloyd Anderson, “By the Gift and Power of God,” Ensign (September 1977), 80; Dean Jessee, “Joseph Knight’s Recollection of Early Mormon History,” BYU Studies (Autumn 1976), 17:1, 35.
The statement s by Joseph Smith, God, and scribes was that he translated the Book of Mormon by the gift and power of God. There is also mention by Joseph Smith about the Urim and Thummum as involved in the translation. 1 Samuel 28:6 in Other Translations 6 And when Saul enquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets. How could a farm boy even know to say Urim and thummim was used to translate the plates?. There were other witnesses that also said they saw the breastplate and the Urim and Thumum. As far as the assertion that Josep Smith did not translate from the plates. He made copies of the characters on the plates , and then translated them. Proof of this is the 114 pages that were lost. Also, Professor Anthon gave certification that the characters were true characters, and that the translation was correct. Also, how would Joseph Smith know that he would receive the gold plates by the angel Moroni on the same day the Jews were blowing the shofar, representing new word from God. No one is that smart. No one could have figured all these things out. Listen to who you want to listen to, but know Joseph Smith had to have been telling the truth, and the people against the church have to be lying. No incredible amount of coinciding knowledge needed, just some story different than what the prophet said.
Antis like you will never know or see the richness of the doctrine of Christ as taught so clearly and truthfully in the Book of Mormon. All you will be able to see are all the technicalities that wont make sense to you because you do not believe in a God who is able to pick a semi-illiterate farmboy who can barely write a coherent letter to translate one of the most eloquent ancient texts in just over 3 months. The Book of Mormon is nothing short of a miracle. And those who read it and ponder on it's doctrines are sure to become closer to Jesus Christ than they have ever before in their lives.

The Book of Mormon and The Bible work together, complimenting and clarifying each other
@@ericrussell5114 Have you read the Book of Mormon? I find it interesting that one will take a statement in the scriptures and try to prove a point. The book is Christ’s gospel just like the Bible. It fits hand in hand with the Bible like it’s companion. I’ve heard someone compare the Book of Mormon is like the wife of the Bible. The Lord had a purpose in Bringing forth this record which one may learn if they have the desire to know more.
When you seek answers from the Book of Mormon instead of the Bible, God can't help you because you have turned your back on Him.therefore this leaves the door open for Satan (II Corinthians 11:14-15) to step into your life with a false christ or prophet showing you "signs and wonders" to lead you away from the real Jesus of the Bible who is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity. God Himself warns us about this in MATTHEW 24:23-24 "Then if anyone says to you, Look, here is the Christ! or There! do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect..." Mormons teach and believe that their jesus is the brother of Satan, which contradicts what God says in His Bible that Jesus is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity. So Mormons, which Jesus do you believe in? A. Your jesus of the Book of Mormon, who is the brother of Satan. OR B. The Jesus of the Bible, who is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity.
Nice try mate. Back to HQ. The CIA got more than that come on.
You are also the brother of Satan, and of Jesus. We are co-eternal with God, intelligence can not be made or unmade. The Father has been the Father from all eternity to all eternity, Jesus has been The Son from all eternity to all eternity, same for the Holy Ghost. You, me, Satan where organized after.
So by your logic, who created Satan? Inquiring minds are listening.
@@dadweiss its funny how they don't deny Satan.
@@dadweiss The real question you should be asking: Do you know the real Jesus of the Bible who is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity as your Lord and Savior?
Kathleen Wharton, that is a beautiful gesture! But the Book of Mormon was brought forth in our time as a second witness to usher in a much needed restoration. A restoration of truth to bring all people together in one. Not to cause division. There is and can only be one truth for all. You can choose to believe that you don't need anything else but a Bible but you will be missing out on many realities n blessings that God is sharing. Keep an open mind. I challenge you to read not only the Book of Mormon but other church material and ask of God whether they be true. He will answer you!!! Good luck/ take care!!!
What a blessing . An explanation of the title page explained by God's one and only Profit on the earth today . I as millions of other saints love President Nelson.

@@gnlout7403 If we listen to the Prophet, we can profit! (lol) Seriously though. A good scripture is what does a man "profit" if he gains the world but then loses his soul. (I get what you are saying though) Okay God bless and interesting video.
@@williamhaddock1838 They give billions to the poor (and unlike the federal government) are solvent - and might just have means for its followers (and non alike) with rough times possibly coming ahead. (I understand the other point though) but what are other organizations doing better then them right now? So perhaps they will do even better - as they have means. Anyway food for thought :)
@@williamhaddock1838 The poor isn't the only thing the Church's money goes to. There's funding BYU, having a huge relief fund, building chapels and temples (which is extremely expensive), bishop storehouses, allowing people that dont have enough money to serve missions, allowing the apostles to actually travel across the world for church business, etc. Yes, the church has a lot of money. But the apostles don't pocket it. That's what other religions do. Ours is the only one where the apostles serve solely to serve God, not make money.
@@gnlout7403 The Book of Mormon (the First Vision, and Joseph being called a prophet the 1st prophet in this "last dispensation") are actually the "main" things of what makes it unique, special. Also its bold claim to be Christs only "true" restored church. In the Bible it even talks about when there will be a "restoration" of all things.
At time-stamp 29:22, the statement should say: "Love thy neighbor as thyself." There was a mistake in the recording here. The audio podcast on all other channels has been updated, but the TH-cam video does not reflect that correction.
This is such an amazing video!!!! :)
The Savior gives us rest, comfort, and salvation! Thank you for this comforting message in these last days.
What does God gives us agency mean?
Hi Linda. Agency is the freedom to choose whether or not we want to obey Him, Follow His Son Jesus Christ, and receive the blessings He offers us here in this life and in eternity. God gives us that agency or freedom to choose for ourselves. He will not force us to choose Him. He lets us make that decision. Thanks for posting your question! If you’d like to learn more about it this is a great place to start: www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/manual/gospel-topics/agency-and-accountability?lang=eng

We learn to rely on the Lord through our trials. And we learn humility too!
I feel the most trust in the Prophet when I follow his words because of obedience, even if it goes against what is socially acceptable. I know the Prophet speaks to the church for Jesus Christ.
“In the last days even the very elect will be deceived!” This podcast reminds me that blessings come from following the Prophet.
I enjoy reading your comments. So glad you are benefiting from the podcast!!
Great reminders regarding temple covenants and our commitment to the Lord!
