Not Ch.10 but *STATION ATV-MELBOURNE* backlot. The same building was also seen in "The Box", another show produced using the Station ATV-Melbourne backlot. Ch.10 was nothing more than 208-to-215 Mhz on VHF Band 3 in the analogue days. And it was *NEVER* "Prisoner Cell Block H" in Australia, the show's home market, it was simply "Prisoner".

Where is Elspeth Ballantyne who played Meg Morris. You would think she would be present there as she was in Prisoner: Cell Block H from beginning to end.

5:30 Ahh, good ol' Maggie Dence aka Dorothy Burke. An absolutely BRILLIANT actress. Also loved her in 'The Sullivans', "Kingswood Country' and 'Prisoner'. Maggie played the character of Dorothy so well, because she made the character almost authentic, despite being the total opposite in real life.

Even though they have brought Neighbours back, it would NEVER be the same as it was back in the beginning and those first few years. Incomparable.

I never liked any of the other theme songs or tunes that they used over the years, except the very original theme song that was sung by good ol' Barry Crocker. It just has that touch of nostalgia for me, even after almost 40 years now. Gawd, I feel old just thinking of how it began 40 years ago and when I started to watch the show from the very beginning. When I was also the same age as little Lucy Robinson when it began way back in 1985. 😃

The second house was originally where Max Ramsay and his wife, Maria, lived with their two sons, Shane and Danny. The third house was the Robinson's. Jim, the widowed dad, his children, Julie, Paul, Scott and Lucy. And also Jim's mother-in-law, Helen Daniels. The fourth house was where Des Clarke lived with his crabby, nosy mother, Eileen. Later joined by Daphne. I don't think the other houses were shown much or were included in the storylines for the first year of Neighbours. They were included from 1986 onwards, if I'm not mistaken. I always loved the houses that had the driveways that sloped down, and the garage formed part of the house, with the (assumed) bedrooms being built on top of the garage.
