In reality, prostitution is illegal in Colorado (and prostitution involving children is extra illegal). So a contract to perform a sex act (which fairly clearly is what this is) would be a contract to perform an illegal act, which is unenforceable (and certainly inconsistent with ordering specific performance). I'm also not sure there was any consideration in this contract: to be valid, a contract must include the exchange of one thing for another (this is why when you want to legally give something away, there's often an agreement for the other party to pay $1 for it). If memory serves, the bet was one-sided because Kyle was sure there was no leprechaun.

Poor Bradley, my heart breaks for him. It's no wonder he felt the way he did, with all the pressure and conflicting beliefs weighing on his mind. He had genuine feelings for Butters, and that's nothing to be ashamed of. But being in a religious camp, it's no surprise that he was so scared. Religion can be a dangerous thing, especially when it starts to control someone's thoughts and actions. As an atheist, I can see how harmful and destructive it can be, especially for children like Bradley. It's not his fault that he's struggling to understand his feelings, and it's not fair that people are making him feel more confused. And poor Butters, he shouldn't have to deal with all of this either. I'm glad he stood up for himself and his friend. Religion has no place in forcing itself on children, and it's time we put an end to it. Enough is enough.
