      Make sure the bolt is clean and oil free. Also I noticed a BIG difference in thermal tube thickness and durability from manufacturer to manufacturer. Be sure you get the heavy duty stuff.

    I did this same mod and test. The napkin doesnt move by the pin. But if I move the napkin over to the left on top of the barrel connection. There is air coming from there when I pull the trigger? Not sure what the issue here is? Almost seems like its coming from the picatinny rail area too?

    Someone is making a killing off of selling little chopped up pieces of 3/16 small engine fuel line for $10 each, LOL! I ordered one of these kits and compared to said fuel line that can be obtained from Advanced Auto by the foot for a few dollars and it's identical in every way. Save yourself some money, make 5 or so "O-ring delete kits" and still have line left over to repair your gasoline weed eater.

    Hi, I know this video is a couple of years old but I've just come across it as I've been having a same problem with my fx streamline. I just think that the system of pellets riding over the o-ring every time is a bad idea. I think all of these pcp's should have a tapered pellet probe, not much but enough to squeeze in on the seal. I ended up making my own probe with a taper and also, for added security, machined a groove for another o-ring on the probe also so that it is a tighter fit and sits just inside the breech. I was successful and have zero air loss. Thanks for the video. I'm surprised I had not managed to find a lot more videos on this matter. Happy airgunning.

If you are concerned with air escaping, get yourself a pellet probe O ring delete kit! That or don't buy an cheap air rifle with O rings on the pellet probe. Same thing happened to mine.I took it apart and inside the bottle fill there is a air check valve that needs to be tightened up. Part number 50 on the EA manual, it is a small check valve with a pointy tip and a o-ring attached to it with the spring. Remove all the air which it seems you have done due to the leak and you have to disassemble the air tank. Remove the air tank set screw and the air gauge. You’ll have to unscrew the top part of the fill adapter from the actual tank in order to get to the air check valve. You have come in from the bottom side with the small Allen wrench to tighten it up. Don’t tighten it all the way otherwise you won’t be able to put air in you might have to do this a couple of times. Good luck. Check out sigshooter videos for AEA guns.

    • @robert7984
      @robert7984 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I appreciate the info and I actually tried that at the suggestion of another dealer. I snugged it up and it still leaked. I checked the little o-ring and it was fine. I went ahead and tightened it up a little more and it just stopped accepting any air (as you mentioned) at all. I sent off to Sig Friday and now I have my fingers crossed. After having to send it back twice now, I almost just want to trade to a different type of AEA rifle altogether.

  • @Donny_Juanny

    I'm confused. You cut two smaller bands and put in o ring groove and then covered entire bolt, or did you leave the o rings on and then cover with shrink or did you take o rings off??

      Some times after use or mods, the stock bolt probe o-rings begin to fail. This will cause all sorts of accuracy issues. This is a test showing no loss of air using an alternative to the stock orings.
