Great Grey Owl Colored Pencil Drawing: Step by Step Sequence

Here's a slide show of how my great grey owl drawing progressed over time. I drew the base drawing with a mechanical graphite pencil and then overlayed layers of Prismacolors to get the final result. This was all done freehand on recycled bristol board.

Great Blue Heron: The Hunter

This was the closest I've ever gotten to a great blue heron. This heron was hunting in a pond at Kensington Metropark in Michigan.
Fledgling Bald Eagles!

Filmed hand-held on May 27, 2023 at Magee Marsh, OH with a Nikon D500 at 500 mm. One of the parents was off to the right, which is why the fledglings were looking in that direction. I believe the parent was trying to coax the fledglings into flying their way.
