Not well. They are good for dry hikes. I have actually worn them on a glacier. They get soaked quickly.

Yes and no. I would say with the proper in soles they could be. I replace mine with custom insoles to match the arch of my foot.

While I would always consult with a medical professional, the Cloudsurfer might be a good match for you. A lot of cushions, but special insoles should help to mitigate overpronation. Great question, and thanks for stopping by!

Cloud Nova X is definitely for the gym. It's got cushion but not a running Shoe. The Cloudswift is a fantastic running shoe but might be too "soft" for the gym. If you aren't lifting weights, the Cloudswift might work, but maybe do both? It's what I do.

Great question! The Cloud Runner 2 is a shoe model, and the Cloud Runner 2 Wide is a separate model. The Cloud Runner 2 is a much wider shoe for those needing a broader souled shoe.

Yeah, stick with the regular one, then. On has narrow shoes so this was in response to a lot of requests from customers.

In terms of design, they look the same. One is about five grams heavier than the other. Visually, the ball of the foot is wider. That's the only difference. I have had both and personally prefer the non-wide version. This is a purpose-built edition for those who need a wider shoe.

The Cloudnova X is great as a shoe for the gym. If you want extra cushioning, go for the Cloudstratus, but I have been in Nashville for a conference using the Cloudnova X. I have been walking and on my feet 12-hour days, and they have performed well.

@ Didn't you say in the review that this shoe is a "lifestyle" shoe and not for 12 hour day activities? You have to make up your mind whether or not it is an all-rounder or just "go to the supermarket" shoe.

The Cloudnova X has more cushioning and performed better than I expected. I am stating my experience not resetting the expectation for what the shoe should used for.

They are sturdy. I would say they are "stiff" and less cushioned but make up for it with there ruggedness.

That's a great question. I would say they are built so you don't have to wear socks. Overall I don't find my shoes smell because they breathe so well. I am not sure if that's a feature but defintley my anecdotal experience.

Unfortunately, no. They can get wet and dry out quickly, but the material is thin, like a water shoe, and not waterproof. Many of the models have a waterproof version, but my go-to is the regular cloud waterproof version. 100% they are the most cushioned trail shoe I have worn. Not great for city runs though. Cloud Stratus, Cloud Surfer and Cloud Monstor would be the city run equivilant.

It's worse than the cloud 5. It's a cool looking shoe but way to thin for most feet. The Cloud X would be a better alternative. For wider feet aim for the cloud stratus or cloud runner.

Good callout, they are actually built to do that. They are a beach shoe or travel shoe. I would say a Cloud X would be similar in bottom tread but much better in term of stability.

Hmm, good question. These use a strechy Neo-prene since they are traveling/beach shoe. They are the exact same tread and width as a traditional on. They will fit the same so if you are looking for something wider aim for the cloud stratus or cloud go.
