Under the bridge is a boat ramp, so as you can imagine. its normally pretty busy. Have to fly during odd times when no one wants to be out on the water to have the real fun! :)

I am in Canada, so FAA will not apply, but we have to regester never the less and get a drone pilot license, which i have already done, I already have dji refresh, but not i am sure about the manual controller yet, flew with some vuluters yesterday 😀. Will up load the video soon

@@johnanthonybuilds LOL, Yes with FPV you need to be Brave, I am totally new to FPV just got the AVATA 2 , I am sure I will crash a bunch of times before I can fly like you🤪

Its a great drone to start with and with the Motion Controller. You can fly pretty awesome. Just make sure to keep DJI Refresh active & you will be fine. :)

Agreed but the main reason I dont lock ISO all the time is because sometimes its hard for me see objects while flying since the same camera is used for both recording and the FPV view. Flying over water, I dont chance it :)

Thank you! I was flying with the RC3 in manual mode & the sensors disabled via the settings. This allowed me to go few inches off the ground.

@@johnanthonybuilds I am still learning the motion controller, I will definitely crash it in sports mode, let alone manual. Do you recommend the RC3? Is it well made and responsive? I am planning get it after Ive learnt the basics. Thank you 🙏

@@johnanthonybuilds Yeah I can't tell what happened. You used 60fps when it was getting darker... I assume you maybe tried to shoot with 1/120th to maintain the 180º shutter rule? But because it was dark out, the ISO went really high. Then with the denoising either in the drone or in your processing, it lost all the sharpness. I have had really good results using 60fps with 1/60th, so you might consider trying that. I'd also suggest shooting in log and adding some sharpening after you color grade. I think you can get better quality than this out of this drone. Oh.. I'm looking at your notes. You had an ND filter on. That's that problem. It was too dark to be using an ND. Your drone got rid of the noise for you, but you lost all the sharpness in the process. Btw... if you haven't tried it yet, you should check out gyroflow. It's my new fav. software to combine with the Avata 2. The trick is that you have to set to "Wide", 4x3, and "No EIS" (turn off rock steady and horizon steady) The software will then use your embedded gyro data to smooth out your video. It works much better than the Avata can do by itself. :)

Thanks for all the feedback. Agreed on the ND I was being lazy since I had been flying earlier. I have not used GyroFlow. Sounds like you recommend it over the built in DJI EIS?

@@johnanthonybuilds Absolutely! It's night and day. I don't blame DJI at all. The in-drone stabilization is absolutely amazing considering it's calculations are done real time. However, gyroflow as the ability to analyze a bigger chunk of video at one time, so it can REALLY smooth things out. You might even decide to turn it down a bit because it can make things almost feel too smooth sometimes. I really like it though. Check it out. It's free and there is no learning curve. As long as you have the drone in the right mode so that it captures motion information, you basically just open the file and hit export. It's that easy. (But you do have options like locking the horizon for example.)

I'm sure they can always put a better sensor in, but for a FPV drone, its awesome. I'm sure once DJI releases the stand-alone 04 Air Units, we will see all the Pilots using 03 Air's move to the 04.
