This is a really solid review. I did the math on some of packmans and realized I could put some of those together for the same price or close. It wasn’t enough of a deal nor unique enough for me to hop in the wagon.

2021 was a good class

I don't think you did that bad, to be honest! Just try to submit higher valued cards, instead of a ton of base cards. I was advised by several card shop owners, to sit on a few cards and wait for specials and all, as eventually PSA will have a $14.99 Special and SGC, like they do currently, will have $10 per card specials for certain sets. That's when you submit lower-valued cards, because the cost has been reduced, making some of those cards, worth it to grade. Finally, I don't mind grading lower-end numbered cards, inserts, parallels of rookies and star players and then just sitting on them, hoping a player wins a championship, at best, or an MVP at worse, then those low-value cards will also move.

With the exception of a few, here and there, PSA is taking 2.5 to 3 months to return submissions, and in retrospect to football cards, the season would literally be over when submissions are returned. I learned, right here on TH-cam, that it's best to grade cards for each sport during that respected sport's off-season. That way, you aren't behind the eight ball and trying to sell cards in a down market. I have a ton of football, basketball, baseball cards and more i want to get graded and outside of some bangers in football, I am sort of holding out on grading football cards, primarily because the season is nearly over. I will still submit some football, here and there, but I've come to the conclusion and accepted the fact that the NFL season will be over, when PSA returns my submissions. So I am focusing on basketball, baseball, hockey, tennis, F1 cards and more, getting those graded instead, hoping to have my basketball cards graded before All Star weekend and have my baseball cards graded before the Spring! You have to be extremely "selective" when it comes to grading and I am about to get a few hundred cards graded, many of which I will flip to invest in more cards and grading them.

There are a ton of videos exposing people for grading low-value cards and the only people making money are the grading companies. I have approx 2000 cards I need to grade, that I have been sitting on since 2020, including recently released product like 2024 Mosaic football, where I hit several massive Jayden Daniels and JJ McCarthy cards, but I am highly selective and will complete as much research as possible, before not only making of decision on which cards to grade or not, but which companies to use.

You appear to be a guy, who completes a ton of research and tries his best to not invest in losing ventures and all, but you hurt yourself! If you would have took the time, basically giving yourself a few weeks to months to watch "everything" grading, right here on TH-cam, you would have easily avoided some of your mistakes made, because you would have literally watched TH-cam videos of others making the same mistakes, which you would have immediately known to not submit some of the cards you submitted.

With the exception of dropping off four cards for submission to SGC via a local card shop, who offers SGC group submissions, I have never personally submitted any cards for grading, with any company, ever. I have been collecting cards since the late 70's and like most older collectors, we initially refused to grade anything, even local card shops here in Florida, didn't start to even consider grading until 2015, or so, yet I resisted. During the pandemic, during lock down in late 2020, is when I literally got back into the hobby(full time) and I still wasn't a fan of grading cards, until i started watching hundreds of hours of TH-cam videos. But, PSA, BGS, SGC were either refusing new submissions and/or taking a year to return submissions, so I literally held onto about 800 to 2000 cards that I want to grade.I am a very analytical, thorough individual, who will complete a ton of research before moving forward with anything, which benefits me. I bit the bullet and signed up for PSA's Collector Club, just last week, during their 30% off membership special, so I am literally prepping hundreds of cards for grading with PSA.

I appreciate your video, you may believe you had poor grades, but I believe you did fairly well. The only advice I would offer is submit low-end cards to SGC and only submit cards with some value to PSA, outside of your PC, of course!
