I loved UFO when it was on TV. And adored Col. Paul Foster and Cmdr. Ed Straker. When I heard they both died within 5 days of each other in 2005 I was heartbroken. RIP Michael Billington December 24, 1941 - June 3, 2005 RIP Ed Bishop June 11, 1932 - June 8, 2005

(shorter version!) We took a drive through Moore the day after an EF5 devastated parts of the town. The scope of the disaster is incredible. Mile after mile of homes reduced to piles of wood.

Taken from the Heritage Park movie theatre in Chickasha, Oklahoma on my BlackBerry phone on May 24, 2011. The Tornado hit the theatre dead on, but amazingly caused minimal damage.

Stumbled across this video several years ago but only got a TH-cam account within the last 5 years, Are these NEC NC1200 projectors by chance? The control panels and overal design look VERY familiar, Also are these projectors Powered by their own internal UPS or an external one? Unlikely to get a response since this video is very old and these projectors have likely been superseded by newer models but one can only hope :)
These are indeed NEC 1200C projectors, and they are still in use, 12 years after going in. A little long in the tooth now, but still performing well! The UPS is external :-)
@@jeanettefunderburg166 genuinely shocked they're still going!....but at the same time where I used to work in a school almost all the other projectors developed issues EXCEPT the NEC ones...we were otherwise explicitly Sony and InFocus...and one Massive Christie in the auditorium. From the Beeps I can assume the whole booth is protected by APC UPSes (four beeps is usually APC, the two other pitched beeps may be Cyberpower. My old UPS at work coincidentally)
@@lukedavis436 The NEC's have been work horses, for sure! Yes, APC UPS's in place. Thanks for the interest! it still blows me away that this little video has garnered such interest :-)
@@jeanettefunderburg166 haha yes, as somebody with Asbergers I've Allways found POV footage of power outages in public spaces to be of interest to me... especially in server rooms or in this case a Projection Suite. Having witnessed a big blackout myself (thanks crappy Chinese generator for exploding) and seeing first hand how an IT team swiftly shuts down everything was quite interesting, though it gets quite scary when there's no Servers making noise. And the room is deathly silent.
So while I was at school fearing for my life cause a tornado was coming really close to us, you were getting screamed at by projectors… nice.
I have watched these episodes so many times,especially when I feel I need something "cleansing" in my system. These characters brought peace to my life,becoming fictional friends. I felt I knew them all. I can hardly believe even now that these two remarkable men have gone. Wherever they may be now,I sincerely thank them for their work,and say,"I miss you."
