The American Segmental Bridge Institute (ASBI) was incorporated in 1989 as a nonprofit organization to provide a forum where owners, designers, constructors, and suppliers can meet to further refine current design, construction and construction management procedures, and evolve new techniques that will advance the quality and use of concrete segmental bridges. ASBI is a unique organization in that all components of the bridge construction industry are included as members.

How are they doing post tensioning for independent segments??? I mean first all segments are to be aligned and then have to do PT
PT is applied at every new segment. In the video it is colored orange. So it happens sequentially.
Only as strong as the weskest strand. Not very confidence inspiring. Beams supported on columns on end , yes.

Cool! Back in 1978 I tied the rebar for these type of bridge segments for a dual span in Toronto, and I have the arthritis in my hands to prove it! And it really sucks when I dream about doing a whole shift, then waking up and having to go to work!
