1 year later.... hows it treating you bossman?
Sorry to say but your bike is really hot 🔥🔥🔥
I have a 2022 Cafe.. 4,000+ miles... It has NEVER overheated. When I first got it, on a hot day...stop and go traffic, it would get to 4bars... But, I feel like it hasn't done that in like 2000 miles. I just perceive it as, the bike is still going thru its normal process. A lot of things used to happen on the bike when it was brand new, but now that its settled...I see none of those issues anymore. That bike truly goes thru the motions, and settles into its own the more miles you put on it.
Longest 3 minutes for the Z to warm up….
Nice bike. They did a nice job with the blue paint scheme. Unfortunately someone posts something on the internet and others jump on the band wagon and everybody starts looking for a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. Thanks for the video.
10mbps is better than the speed I was throttled to I was stuck on 0.25mbps
I have one. Runs perfecly. I did change the rear suspension and put heavier oil in the front forks. SERIOUS improvement. Changed exaust and a few other things. Great bike. It can get down or be suttle. Highly recommend the suspension upgrades though. Went with K-Tech and this MF rock. Enjoy the ride Bruh.
Does this bike's gauges tell you how many miles the tank has left before hitting empty?
Good video! I know it's a year old, but I had to comment. I own a 2019 Cafe model and I've ridden a hundred miles in a Florida heat wave multiple times with no problems at all.
I have a 2023 Z900RS SE, and rode it all last summer, and it never got close to overheating. The temp meter goes up halfway, and if it gets warm the rad fan turns on, but it has never overheated on me. If anything it runs cold in the fall weather, and only goes up one segment on the meter. The last Kawasaki I bought new, was a 1984 Ninja 900, so you have some idea on how long I have been riding bikes. EDIT: You can download a Z900RS service manual for around $30 and get a PDF file.
At&t sucks Throttle central
very nice bike :)
You can adjust that cold idle very easily.
how do you do it? the cold idle is so high
@@lautarocuttica9581 On the lefthand side of the bike, see the two small nuts on a shaft that join onto the throttle body spindle. They are locked against one another. You need to either turn these two to three turns (after unlocking them) OR slip a plastic shim under them as it is spring loaded. Its easy when you know how. If you join the Z900RS forum and do a search on cold idle, photos and instructions are there.
I have an issue with my 2020 z900rs cafe, under hard throttle it falls on its face at 5-6k rpm but if i roll on the throttle...no issues...same happens with krtc on or off....anyone know what the cause is?
Take the Z900 to a specialist to check and possibly do an ECU flash. I’m going to do that after I upgrade my exhaust.
That's my favourite colour.I love that bike.
4k miles in my 2023 z900rs - most in 80 plus degrees and much hotter in traffic - this bike does not run hot meaning I’ve never seen it more than that one tick above half way on the digital gauge. Never spits coolant- runs great always. That’s a beautiful color! Peace
Video watched thank you
Hi. i have the very same bike bought in 2023, same colour lovely bike and just getting it run in. i think the earlier bikes were running hotter because my bike once warmed up does not go above the middle mark, 3 segments even in summer stop go traffic, only once have i seen it go up to 4 on a very hot afternoon here in uk and stuck in traffic for a bit but then it went back to 3 segments so that seems to be the norm. also iv noticed your cold idle is a lot higher than mine, 2000 rpm, when i start mine it cold starts up to 1750 rpm maximum so might be worth getting the garage to adjust it down a bit and when mine is warmed up it sits at idle of 1100 rpm. other people have had the issue of it cold start idle way to high. and i find the front suspension fine but the rear shock is junk, iv just ordered a Nitron R2 fully adjustable shock for the rear as i fitted that to my Kawasaki Z1000 and it was excellent. I'm only 65 KG without my rider gear so normally have to change the rear shock on every bike i have to get a lower spring rate. you can order the Nitron R2 with a black spring also to match the bike better, hope this info helps a few people. cheers.
nice bike... my z900rs goes hot at stop light, kinda normal same as z1000r...
Trying to decide between the kawasaki z900rs cafe & the Ducati supersport 950s. Could come down to, in warm to hot weather, which bike throws more heat at the rider. I'm betting it's the Ducati. I owned a kz900 from new back in the day. Really, leaning strong in the Kawasaki direction, what a trip that'd be!
I'm wondering if you got it~ I'm getting one soon. All modern bikes run hotter than they should~ it's the combination of the cat & lean jetting to meet crappy Euro 5 emissions standards. Get a full exhaust and reflash the ECU & problem solved. Check our Brock's Performance~ they have a full package for this bike.
@jmsmikey Not as yet. Hopefully summer of 2024.
if you remove emission BS it will run cooler anyway. Put order on one as well.
A lottta blah blah blah. Read the manual. Overheat is indicated by: 1. full temp on the digital display, 2. the "coolant temp warning indicator on", and 3. the red warning indicator on. Folks just don't know how to read the manual or the gauges. All 3 conditions must exist for it to be overheating. And NO, you do not have to run premium fuel on this 10.8:1 engine. I live in Texas where it averages 105 and this bike does not overheat.
Video is correct, if anyting the bike runs on the warm side, it is a fueling issue to get through California emissions. There are tuners that remap your ECU module "flashing" this is mainly for power, but allowing the proper mixture fixes the warm running, it also makes the digital warm-up less aggressive, as well as allowing the fan to come on sooner in traffic, several other things as well, worth investigating even with stock pipes
Don't buy this, I got this recently and only used less than 3 months before it went bonkers and need to return back for repair or replacement. I found out they don't cover two way shipping so I had to pay for overnight only to find that they couldn't repair nor could provide me with brand new for replacement. To add insult to an injury, I only found out over week later after I decided to call because the update has stopped after first week so they told it will take up to 30 days to get my reimbursement back after multiple calls.
Nice video ! IMO with Comcast it doesnt make much sense to try and save $15 by getting all your own gear when you can always get them to waive there rental fees during a contract signing. They update there rental Gateways every 3 years with the latest tech so you never have to worry about being left behind and they bring Unlimited Data Caps which they charge $30 for when you use your own gear.A Wifi - 6E DOCSIS 3.1 2.5GB Combo Gateway like the current rental XB-8 modem is $450 and its already old tech. They are anouncing a New Model on the way with an integrated battery backup and other features
Appreciate your video, thanks.
Great color combo ya gotta there, bro 👍 My own Z900RS needs only in BKK/PTY stop and go traffic the fan for controlling the temperature. In my manual is mentioned, that the engine will stop to operate if the fan isn't able to keep the temperature in reasonable low levels anymore.
Sorry to say, DNS settings have nothing to do with internet throughput speed, it just translates the URL to an IP address. It’s possible google is serving you a different IP address for that speedtest node which is less saturated.
Mine runs about half way on temp gauge in the summer, and cooler in the fall
Yeahhh dude don't repeint
I have same bike same color same year I have zero issues … great motorcycle
Thanks for the video. l just got mine today, mine is a no name brand. l had been scouring the online stores where l am, l was particularly worried because the weather was about to turn bad. Anyway what l got is double sided with a silver reflective inner. I am not sure how it will go but hopefully it will do the job. This is my second one. l had a previous type which was bluish silver and surprisingly had a layer of like wool or some fibrous material. It was very good it even had the ears for the mirrors and reflectors. Unfortunately the top portion was more of an aluminium type layer hence the bluish silver colour. With time it began to fall apart. That was the only major downside that its one of those which will eventually start falling apart in pieces. The newer one cost me more and it has a more synthetic material. Sadly it has no woolly undercoat. So l think it will last much longer. We will see how it goes. Unfortunately my bike has to stay outside we do not have garage facilities. Had kept it with a friend before but given that he travels a lot, it would have been troublesome for me to go and get it when l wanted to so, l have resorted to this. So far so good but ideally l would have it garaged as the weather goes from very cold, to hot and it is very rainy most times hence the investment in covers.
I've got 11,000 miles on my 2021 Kawasaki Z900RS. Never had any overheat issue. 3 bars is normal. 4 bars at stop when hot and then the fan comes on and knocks the temperature back to 3 bars. No problem. Thanks for the video.
Great bike, yes I want one. Nice information thanks.
the 2021 model en newer have a larger radiator that's the difference, mine a 2020 model runs 5bars before the fan kicks in but never go higher
I can vouch for the NETGEAR CM700 on spectrum 400Mbps service, once i replaced their crappy Arris modem with the CM700 my speeds were solid, they were better 400Mbps+
mine never gets above 205, I put a temp gauge on it, so I agree with you, great video, Thanks bro!
I've got a beautiful2019 ZX1000 BR, but man, ever since I saw this machine, I've fallen in love with this bike. And this colour combination has to be one of THE best I've ever seen. Plus, it's one of the only bikes I know of that has a stock exhaust that looks and sounds so cool, I can't imagine why you'd bother changing it. Your friends are totally right, Don't repaint it!
Get one in blue man, but keep your cool ZX1000. Have one like the one on video and the last thing I'd do is paint it. The build quality on these are fantastic. The only thing I've done is a tail tidy and get rid of some of the silvery bits here and there. They're really nice bikes and have excellent power , handling, and brakes.
Yeah Frank, I'd never get rid of my 1000, I've put way too much into upgrading it, plus, I do love the machine. Killer looking and performing and I get stopped everywhere, on the road at lights, other bikers, people walking, on buses, it's hilarious. Kids really love it, might be its metallic green colour.
@@Truthasvictim I believe it. Have 2 other bikes, but this one seems to attract some of the older gents, They had a Z1 long ago. I'm no kid and rode a KZ1000 in the late 70's, and this new RS is the exact same color. Now it's called candytone blue, back then it was diamond sky blue. My regular Z900 is a little faster, but doesn't get quite the attention. Thanks for the response.
@@TrustyZ900 Before moving to the Z1000, I had the Ninja 650 which I also loved, and it was the equally beautiful plasma blue. But you've just gotta love that word, plasma. 🟦
Beautiful bike, great choice. I have a 2019 Z900RS Cafe, I've done 8,000 miles no issues. Full Hindle exhaust (sounds fantastic)and 2WDW tune, fan comes on earlier now. A fantastic do anything(on pavement)street bike. I've hit twisties with sportbikes and done 400 mile days with cruisers. Enjoy it,safe travels.
Ride any Triumph. They are lava with wheels.
Hahaha! That's the Perfect phrase for my 675R.... 🙂
Hi, 1st time here, just wanted to say nearly all bikes run like that in hot weather in slow to stop traffic that's why they all have fans if they have radiators. Like your video.
Thanks Mark
DOCSIS... doc sis. Pretty sure that 2.5 gig speed is internal network ethernet speed, not cable speed to the internet. All good 👍🏻.
Thanks for the elaboration on Doc sis!
That's not true, they do offer up to 2.5 download and 400 up, because of the mid/high split channels. Your internal LAN speeds are reliant on whatever router and switch you have
I may be selling my 22 Z900 RS 50th anniversary. Soon . Loaded with 90% of OEM catalog trim. Follow up if interested. No it doesn't run hot...
Kitchen table engineers fail to understand that the thermostat and thermo temperature switch and cylinder head temp switch inputs as well as the ecu mapping and indicator on dash are all designed to one thing. Complete and total combustion and the after treatment of semi spent gases. Net gain is horsepower and cleaner air. I fail to understand that a company as large as Kawasaki can build the highest quality and fastest machines in the world somehow cannot engineer a Cooling system. I even hear them complain about the HUGE radiator it has. And these same types want to "ThermoBOB" the famous desert bike .The KLR650. PLEASE stop the whining and ride.
Yo bro keep doing your thing man keep popping more CONTENT Thinking about one myself dope !🔥
Have the exact same bike. In blazing hot Idaho summer runs 3 bars. In stop and go traffic will hit 4. Fan kicks on, back to 3.Have an Evotech radiator guard. Restricts air flow a little. I also have a '22 Z900 naked. Runs a little hotter than the RS. Talked to a sharp service tech and said t's totally normal. Flashing ECU can change earlier fan setting. Don't worry about it. Run good oil and fuel and these bikes last forever.
r they still twitchy?
@@nickbazan27 Not mine dude. No snatchy throttle. Runs perfect. Try one sometime.
I will keep you guys posted if I ever experience the RS running hot.
Yes
Its twitchy on your 1st ride. Once you relearn it it goes away. Like it's a rapid throttle cam. I know that the oem chrome headers are double tube lines. The std Z900 headers are where the 15 hp difference is between the two. (125 vs.110). I put a used set on mine to save the chrome ones. It made an awesome difference and stil looks wild. Throttle feels better too.
OMG. You really don’t know anything about motorbikes. Or EFI combustion engines in general. 👎
Thank youuuuuu god this has been a nightmare!
