Gracias por tu video ❤
@@NadiaGarcia-z4n De nada!
I love hearing so clearly that instant adjustment of the sound, 👏 but i hear brightness in first version ... doesn't sound nasal to me ?
Cool!
I thought I was losing access to this course Thursday?
I'm going to upload some courses here so it minimizes what you have to download and save.
@ oh I see .. this one has so many bits to download .. so that is good!
❤
This is very helpful ❤❤
Always love hearing your voice.
Man some people got the voice of sirens. The words and the notes can move you like magic
You sound fantastic on this song Kathryn! And such a quick learner!
Wow so much knowledge, thank you I’m singer too
Great explanation. Perry is actually a classical "mix" singer. I've listened to many of his isolated vocals on TH-cam. His speaking voice is very low, lower than mine - I am a tenor. He is actually singing in his "head voice" with lower resonators working, that's why his vocal always sounds so effortless. His high trails taper and have a twang to them, a signature quality of a well-trained mixed head voice. He is not superman, just talented!
@@RickiKeith Nice analysis!!
This is so wonderful! I love Katie’s voice so much! ❤❤❤
Me too!
niiice 👏👏🎶that works! 😃
Yay!!
thank you so much, i dont know if I can do it but I am really believe I can now
You can!!!
I have the exact same backdrop on my music videos. I sang open arms unplugged. My audience wasn't all that impressed. Can you critique my open arms cover.
I'm actually doing an Open Arms live Zoom class in January. Send an e-mail to shannah@shannahraevocalstudio.com and I'll add you to my list so you can join us!
2:57 “Sure” Sounded amazing with the lifted lips and flared nostrils!!! Ooo! The stability of the sound was amazing and rang out so beautifully when you put all those tools together!!
Trying to catch up on some of the videos I missed. Albie, I love the power and intensity you give to this song! The push/pull engagement technique really made a difference! Shannah, I love how you show trust in your student/artist’s abilities by telling them they’re free to make whatever choices they want at certain points in their song, and that, in turn, gives them added confidence that they’re a good singer, a competent singer. Your warmth and the way you encourage and correct with compassion allows the person to release tension that comes from being highly invested in sounding good, worthy, etc. I also want to say what an amazing pianist you are! I know you’ve put a lot of work into that and it really shows. ❤️♥️❤️
@@kathrynclass2915 You have absolutely made my day with this compliment. I’m so grateful to have you in the studio!!!
Thank you❤❤ especially the 1st tip made such a difference!
You are welcome! Glad you found it helpful!
What a gorgeous sound!! Katie, ❤❤❤❤❤
You are impeccable!!! Could you also sing/teach/advise on the song ‘Purple Rain’?
@@mtvalentine9765 oooh! I love that!!
❤❤❤
What a cute song! I love how you guys played around with it. I especially loved the country styling. Erin, your song sounded so good in your voice. I love that song choice for you!
@@kathrynclass2915 I loved this too! It stuck with me all day after!!
Too difficult 😢
I’m singing along and learning so much! Casey, the tone of your voice is so beautiful. I wish I could sound so beautifully bright and clear. I could listen all day
1:36 I love this analogy of singing in it a key that works for you being the same as wearing your appropriate shoe size. We don’t tell ourselves we should wear the same size shoe as the celebrity who has a shoe we like we just get the shoe in our own size. Music keys work the same way… we should get the key that suits our voice instead of trying to fit into the key that the original artist sings in. Psychology is so funny sometimes. We can convince ourselves that in order to be worthy singers we should be able to do what another artist does and then we apply across the board and tell ourselves we should be able to do everything in whatever key. Maybe this is just my own hangup, but I recognize that this is something that happens, so thank you for that. Reminder that we are worthy singers all by our own selves. We don’t have to fit the mold that someone else has created.
@@kathrynclass2915 Yes! And what a boring world it would be if we all were exactly the same!
@ I had been driving so I spoke my comment into my phone and I just read the results of that. There were some awful mistakes!! 🤣 I just edited it to actually make more sense. But yes, it would be boring if we all sounded the same. Whenever I hear something different during a show, a movie, tv, or on the radio, I think to myself “that person had to know they don’t sound like anybody else or their musical idea was strange and different, but they put it out there anyways and it is needed and it gets used. It’s appreciated for what it is, so I can do that too”
She sounds good to me!!
@@garyshewmake3830 She sure does!
Literally most useful vocal coaching I’ve had and it’s only in 4 mins (honestly my irl vocal coach was awful 😭)!! This is crazy effective and so good for nailing high notes thank you 💗💗
@@kaijuno Thanks! So glad you found it helpful!
oh my gosh the way this works so well thank you queen this deserves so much more love why was this so simple
@@Th3_L3g3nd26 I’m glad it was so helpful!
Hi
8:29 I especially love the demonstration of what to do when our brains get too involved in assessing what we’re doing and it gets in our way
@@kathrynclass2915 Yes! Our brains always try to help, but sometimes we just need it to step aside and let the body work.
Yay, Amber!! I love the sound of your voice! I really noticed the “hey!” as you implemented it at the end and how that really transformed that part! It was terrific!
I really hope people to hit like and subscribe. You’re great at teaching and I’ve benefited so much from being your student. I want the most for you! Leslie, that was fabulous! Really fabulous! It did sound more free at the end and I loved the styling suggestions you chose to implement. 👏💕
Thanks for your support!!
Terrific tools to use! They were really effective! Jess, the difference from beginning to end was phenomenal. I really showcased your beautiful singing and how practicing the techniques and styling tools is really impactful.

Okay but HOW DOES THIS WORK?!?! The difference is insane
@@SkinWithBrin There are a lot of things going on with the shift, but the main one is that it keeps the larynx from dropping which makes it far less of a stretch to hit the note.
@5:17 Okay, but you missed the opportunity to sing "When I saw my reflection...my jawline brought me down 🎶". Great job though!
Clever! 😂😂
Thank you,😊
