Apple Notes is a nightmare - I used to keep my daily notes about a book I was writing in Apple Notes on my phone - then 2 years later I want to move them into the next stage --- Apple was like, "no way man, we're going to make this suck for you." - Sorry guys, I don't take notes to do nothing with them - never use Apple Notes.

This question is for my brother. He recently graduated high school and got early acceptance to a DO program. My family wants him to go traditional route and go for MD which is after undergrad and not guaranteed. What is your take on it?

I am a rising senior in high school. I have a GPA 4.0 and ACT 34 but I don’t have a ton if extracurriculars besides shadowing and volunteering. What can I do now to improve my chances. Is it too late for that. I will be applying to 6 yr in state BSMD program

They keep giving residencies to foreign medical graduates who can’t even speak English properly. Why are US students subjected to such a high level of scrutiny to get them into med school

I have a tendency to stutter in interviews what can I do to overcome that. I applied to a BSMD program and was not selected. I had a 34 on ACT and a 3.85 GPA with quite a bit of volunteering and shadowing experiences. I guess my interview wasn’t great though I feel I did very well on it. What is your advice

LOVED THIS VIDEO!!! Simplicity really is best. I use Apple Notes for everything information-based but as for actionable tasks, I stick to Todoist which I think is totally worth it and has made my life a lot better! But yes in general, simplicity is best. Don't make things more complicated than they need to be!

Enjoying your video. Many high schools require a student to complete say Buology Honors, then Chemistry Honors, prior to going on to more advanced coursework. Very un-common for a 9th Grader to bw able to take AP Biology and also rare for a 10th grader, to take AP Chemistry. Just think about it. If a HS student takes AP Chemistry in 10th grade for example, how many years will s/he be without Chemistry, prior to beginning Organic Chemistry, in college? No Bueno. Too large of a gap

Watching youtubers using Notion, i used notion, Watch others using obsidian, i used obsidian, Watching others using logseq, i used logseq, Moved so many apps and wasted my time thinking i will use the best of the best apps and i ended in full chaos wasting lots of time. Your video has helped me understand that simplicity is the best thing. I will now use apple notes for rest of my life which is simple, fast and syncs well in the apple ecosystem. So I need to invest in apple, if I don't use apple at all? Probably a better title would be "just stick to one system and don't overengineer it", but youtube algorithm probably doesn't like it. But there is another thing to it: What are you planing to do with your notes. Organizing your todos in notes is different from taking notes for learning or reference.

Apple Notes has no AI support, no translation feature, no importing things. For what reason you record so useless video? For what purpose?

I had a hard time finding where write down everything since i have an iPad, android phone and a windows laptop, it was so overwhelming trying to find a notes app, so one day I uninstalled everything and clipped a bunch of used papers and since then i write everything there

I disagree. Khan Academy MCAT videos are endorsed by the test makers, AAMC. All you need is KA and AAMC tests and exams

Sorry if this sounds rude, but putting your tasks in a notes app is a really bad idea. Using each tool for what it was designed for is a basic principle of organization and simplicity. It's not about making it complex, it's about doing it the right way. A practical example: if I have a task to do exactly on February 19th (today is February 2nd), the notes app would certainly end up making me forget about it, or I would have to write a lot more to understand days and times. In the end, it would be more complex than a simple task app, as well as less efficient. It wouldn't even work for a basic organization, only considering dates. Imagine with different projects. It's simple: notes app for notes and tasks app for tasks. No excess organization, categorization, etc. Simple, but the right way.

I was just watching a bunch of vids on using Apple Notes. This was one of the best because of the "getting things done" mindset and all of the great quotes. I hopped around between note-taking apps for years on my Mac, but am settled on Notes now!

PowerPoint is a good choice for taking notes.

BRO!! YOU ARE SPITTING SUCH FACTS!!!! I was feeling I need Notion because a TH-camr I listen to often is using it. And I'm like... why do I need Notion when I have Apple Notes and GoodNotes?? So thank you for this video! LOL! Because I don't feel like watching a bunch of Notion videos on how to make a note and organize it.... when I do that already in Apple Notes. Keeping it simple is KEY! Love this!

😢I’d like to use Notes, I really would, but there one MAJOR drawback. It is not possible to send an email to Notes. It can be done with Evernote. It can be done with Trello. Why can’t it be done with Apple Notes?

You can't do space repetition in Apple Notes. Nor make flashcards in apple notes.

Apple Notes is flawless but untill you have to use a Windows device. And also until you need links between different notes.

Did to much Research the last weeks with finding the right system and app. Apple notes with PARA makes so much sense. And prices for some apps are crazy.

You mention Apple Watch, but I have not figured out a way to have Notes work with Apple Watch. Any help? Otherwise, great video.

I use apple notes to quick capture, notion to archive and free form to connect my notes for an overview. I think it’s better to have multiple tools as long as you know how and when to use them to get things done; not every solution needs a hammer.

OneNote is the most intuitive and productive. Works well with the PARA method.

don't go to Apple Notes. It's a nightmare. I was so happy to see it was "free" and already on my phone and I could basically do everything Evernote does. When Evernote's price went way up, I finally decided to make the change. I had about 5,000 Evernotes. I made the export of each of my notebooks on Evernote. However, when importing them to Apple notes, it kept failing. I thought maybe the notebooks were too big. The smaller notebooks worked. I kept blaming Evernote thinking there was some bug in their export. But later realized Apple notes was crashing during import or giving me errors and failing to import. I have a new Mac laptop and tons of memory. It didn't make sense. I went ahead and tried Upnote just for kicks and waola! it worked like magic. Less than 1% of the notes didn't import, but I was told which ones and why they didn't import. Do not go to Apple Notes. It's a nightmare if you have more thousands of notes. Also, it's a nightmare to export a bunch of them. Try to and see what I mean.

Yeah i want to stay with one app but evernote is broken and it's taking way to long to fix and i dont use apple phones!

I don't have iPhone. It's expensive where I live. Not everyone has access to apple notes.

Really nice job on this vid.~ Frankl condensed :: we make our own hell.~ My business career began pre-Windows and after retirement I quit avoiding Apple and moved my household lock, stock and barrel into the walled garden 3 years ago - especially converting to any Apple provided apps. If I was starting out young and fresh today with what I now know, there's no doubt I would choose the walled garden synergy between device, iCloud and Apple app plus any necessary specialty software. That would free up a bunch of potentially wasted time (= money) in establishing the routine systems of getting stuff done in business and life. Apple is a pricey convenience and something new to learn in my retired life but I can see the big economic benefit available to those currently arbitraging money/time...

How is Apple Notes doing? It's taking a lot of storage on my devices up to 1gb for a mere 600 text notes.

And not forgeting that all those other apps aren't free.

Apple Notes has one huge design flaw…. There isn’t an UNDO button for the times you accidentally deleted text.
