What if you want the text to be indented in the model instead of raised?
If you want the text to be indented (“engraved”) into the object as negative space, you will need to select the HOLE option for the text element. By default, the text object will be a SOLID shape, but you can select the text object and change it to be a HOLE (this will make it look transparent). Then, align the text with the rest of your object as desired, select both objects, and GROUP them (CTR+G). This will cause the text object, now a hole, to remove material from the other object where it overlaps, thus creating negative space.
Just go below negative ten

I miss her to this day. I'm so glad we took part in this library activity so we could have this video to look back into her history. A lot of people don't get the opportunity to speak to their grandparents about their history, but we did thanks to this project. Thank you for keeping this video up!
