BMW Trapped Under Flooded Bridge – Green Road Ford, Birmingham (26th Sept 2024)
A BMW driver learned the hard way why you shouldn’t attempt to cross a ford when it’s flooded. This incident occurred at the ford on Green Road in Birmingham on 26th September 2024. Despite the driver being uninjured, the car was left trapped under the bridge, with the rising water levels preventing the fire service from recovering the vehicle. They eventually had to leave it pinned under the bridge. Astonishingly, a line of cars continued to queue up, with drivers considering making the same risky attempt.
