Administration building and others were saved. They still played football in the 90's. I could hear them from the loading dock of the Lucky grocery store across Sorensen Avenue where I worked.
48399 Fred C Nelles, Kennedy Cott. 1986
Love this layout!
To anyone who did time there in the mid- to late 1960s: did you know Steve Parent of El Monte?
I’ve had a lot of paranormal encounters when I needed a get away for me at night just to take a drive as a younger man and I had seen a child standing behind a sign at midnight in shorts with a paperboy cap and brown shorts and disappeared.I one time thinking I was tough tried to impress a girl and walked towards hells gates at sunset and a dark figure had ran by me and I don’t know if it was the sunset but it had red eyes.Or seen people in black cloaks or a man walking past my car while cops were apparently looking for him.I know not paranormal just something that I remember.I saw a dead black cat on the road with blood and me being a cat guy I had to see if it was okay so I backed up to see and the cat and blood was gone. There was a house I had driven around a couple times and couldn’t figure out why I kept going around in circles.Later on with the internet I discovered others had similar incident’s.But I love going there. Its nice to walk, look at the views, the little shops, the film history just a nice place:)
Spent years there. Washington, then went to Taft for 8 months then Nixon for 8 months, back to mainline went to Cleveland!!! Nelles was gangster as it got in the 90s.
Fred C Nelles. A lot of fools broke at that place... If you made it through Nelles in the 90s you could make it anywhere.
I love it when people confront their past. Own it. Live and love life. Whatever you have left. Like me @ 70. Looking 50. Feeling 30.
@@playoption hope you’re well Jay! I live here now on this land and they’ve done well on building out the community. We love it and treat it as our own.
I have been in 4 movies that were filmed at Fred's
Fascinating!! The Quakers really set good things in motion!!

I loved it...
YC#47027 was in kennedy compa in 86,there was a counselor there that if we all did good for a whole week, he would bring in a porno for us...that's the spot I first watched deep throat. Mannn nelles was a off the hook.
Are you Leo from YC? I remember you. I was also there at Kennedy with you
Hell yeahhhh... LEO FROM YOUNGxCROWD in the house.
See, you're doing good also, that's right. That's whats up its all about waking up next to a woman and not in a cell with a roommate ( cellie)..
@@leopoldoortega5081 I remember you used to hang around with my homie Goofy from 38, I also remember you used to strike up everywhere, somewhere down the line I saw you at YTS. They used to call me Snoops from 38.

HHow u doing?- well -Brookfield.💫
When I was a kid my mom would always scare me and say “if you’re a bad boy, I’ll take you to the bad boy house” and drive by to scare me. She even made me pack a bag once and said “that’s it, you’re going to the bad boys home.” Im 35 now and I’m still scared tbh. Im sad it’s gone. Was a huge piece of history. And my childhood.
@@strayhorserecords I live there now, its not how it was
Worked at the old Lucky/Stater Bros across Sorenson for 10 years 1990-2000. Would hear football games outside every Friday.

I was born and raised is whittier, I have lived in other states, but my heart is in Whittier . Frankie Lopez YA #51764 Crime Murder Fred C. Nelles 1988 Adams Bomb - Mad House - Monroe - Ventura TWA and got me some. Never went back.
I was there from 1994 to 1998 Adams and Tyler cottage
Compare the school buildings compared to the rest of the city. This is a joke. These buildings were here prior to the Quakers arriving. The building was repurposed from a past people.
I got ahold of one of them yellow jail cells when they were doing away with them. Paid scrap value for it. Took it home and locked my daughter in it whenever she acted up. Sure straightened her ass out good.
👊
A FRIEND OF MINE AND I ONCE THREW A CIGARETTES AND MATCHES OVER THE FENCE TO A GUY ASKING FOR THEM ON THE INSIDE. MY FRIEND PASSED IT DAILY ON THE WAY HOME FROM H.S. LATE 50'S ONE KID GOT OUT AND GOT ALL THE WAY TO TEXAS ON A BICYCLE. :)
I wish the city should have allowed tours. I would walk hone from Whittier HS and always wonder what it looked like from the inside. Without getting locked up there lol.

Daaaang memories ,I went to Nellis 93-96 #67866 Cleveland compa ! Then Nixon then YTS . juvenile hall was all fun n games til i got to nellis and all the leva games then bringing northers down caught 20 extra months being a ,super sureno! And right before my p.c.d. North’s rushed me in school area , right when I got my gang certificate in Newman’s class 😣 got sent to nixon then T.S.one great thing happened in nellis They would let Christian churches come in and speak & feed us on Holidays and I always remember that no matter what Jesus can save me And years later after going to prison 2 times as an adult I gave my life to Jesus, And still saved 16 years later now at Victory Outreach palmdale , thank you Jesus!!

Not a single stone is left.
Seen the houses before while looking to buy. They are very nice houses but its still surrounded by 3 dairy farms and it smells of cow feceses with lots of flies. I hope they settle with the farmers asap, the smell and flies were the reason we decided not to purchase.
They're all gone now. You should've bought it
