😢 being in the middle of this, I wouldn’t want anybody to be especially Pope Francis One has to ask themselves this question and yes, the womb is a very, very serious offense But I draw myself to these programs. The church is supposed to teach morals, not shrug shoulders and say "up to you". Why have leaders in the church that don't lead or instruct?

I am a Catholic and a deacon and I applaud the Bishop for his stance about the sign of the Cross and about the abortion issue. In homilies I am told to stay away from the abortion issue when it comes to any political party. When I pray and also do the rosary I pray that this country would find a good Christian leader who would bring this country back to God. It is next to impossible to pick either side because you have the abortion issue on one side but you also have the other side who disregards the two main Commandments that all the other Commandments rest on, " Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind. And the second is this, Love your neighbor as yourself". The republican side has thrown around so much hate, mocking, slandering and making false statements against people. I see it on the democratic side. How do people think God is going to bless either side if they disregard God's Commandments and also the Beatitudes that Christ gave us as an example of how we are to live our lives. I am a Vietnam Veteran and someone who has been around since the Eisenhower years and I have never seen this much hate in politics and our country in all my years and that includes Vietnam and the race riots of the 60s. We have strayed so far from God in this country that our main focus is wealth, power and getting what we want when we want it. I have always told people that if Christ thought so much about wealth as we do why did he not give it to Mary, Joseph and His apostles. Also why did He pick simple poor fishermen to build His Church and not the Sadducees and Pharissees. Jesus knew what power and wealth does to people. We look at wealthy and powerful men and think this is who we want to follow. Remember that God was betrayed by his people with a golden ram and Jesus was betrayed with 30 pieces of silver. During the late 50s my family lived in a one bedroom, one bathroom house with my grandparents, parents and 5 of us kids. My parents brought home $200 every two weks and put most of that back into their tavern and restaraunt. Then my parents still had to pay the bills and take care of the five of us, and we still were close and happy because we had God and each other. Let us also remember that babies are not born with hate in their souls, their minds, it is us adults who sin against God by teaching our children to hate and spreading that hate to other generations. I always said "I never planned on being rich, just happy", and I am because I have almost lost my wife 3 times and God spared her again when her infection went septic. I still thank God after my sister was murdered in 2000, my brother died of cancer, my favorite neice died of a rare disease for kids, my sister and her husband have NonHodgkins Lymphoma, another neice has an inoperable brain tumor and our daughter was sexually molested in college. God is good, All the time! If you are sure what party you are voting for then first read 2 Timothy 3:1-5 and also The Letter of Saint James 3:16 - 4:3. May God have mercy on us and may the peace of Christ be with all of us and may we pray for peace and grace to withstand all trials.

Should have also good knowledge of Civil & Criminal Laws. Socially speaking President should have empathy not only to poor & middle class also towards poor and needy countries .
