How do you open the clear container? It turns out don’t need to. Your turn it over put the handle in the back of the new blade and pull it out that way.

In the SX, there is a small Philips screw at the bottom of the dust cover that is a pain to remove, and the bulb is a D1S.

At the same time, it would be nice to clean the battery cables terminals

I'm late to this 5yr old video, but another caution is that once you plug the memory saver into the OBD-II port, it's a good idea not to let the positive and negative clamps on the memory saver come into contact with each other (shorting out and likely blowing the fuse on the OBD-II port). Probably better to connect to your temporary power supply first, before plugging into the OBD-II port.

Your video was useful after someone helped me, and showed me there are two entry points for the healdlights. The main bulb replacement is farther back . The front is for highbeams. You may want to mention that.

Does the jump starter's amp matter? Because I was told the obd2 port's fuse is around 5-6 amps. BTW some newer cars need a scanner to program the new battery.

Your video was wonderful ! I have an umbrella from Orchards store. It was dark green and the outside faded. I follow your video and used rust-oleum in hunt club green. I was amazed by the results. It looks like a brand new umbrella. I only paid $13.00 for 2 bottles of paint and $5.00 for the plastic floor protector. Didn’t buy the comfort grip since I only needed to paint one side of the umbrella and I kept it the same color. I did wear a mask protector for spray painting.😊

Should you have wiped a little grease on the battery terminals after installing?

It looked great when it was all done and it certainly an option when you’re umbrella is faded, but it looks as though you spent about $50 on paint and you can certainly get a replacement umbrella for less than that.

The bulb actually twists to the right in order to remove, not the left.

This is my experience as of today, February 26, 2024. I have a 2012 Optima SX-Turbo. It is NOT a piece of cake, as described here. It requires a Sylvania D1S, same as in most BMW's. It's $220/pr. The cover that seals the bulb in, is not just a screw in or ¼ turn. It is held in by a very small Phillips screw at the bottom. PITA just to rotate this screw. In addition, you MUST remove the coolant reservoir just to manipulate said screw on the passenger side. Same on the driver's side, EXCEPT that you must remove the battery to get the previously described.

Never lay a metal tool on the battery.

Showing a 12 V accessory to plug in your computer saver, is OK if you have one. It would have been better if you would have also shown how to connect if you don't have the peripheral equipment.

noting even close to mine.. mine on my 2013 Kia Optima is a box I have to remove. The light buld does not look like a H1 or an H11. Wish it did.

Seems simple enough, until you discover that the outer cover that seals the light bulb from moisture is all but WELDED on. 😐
