It is finally time to tackle Valor Mountain, a legendary part of the story in the game and they made it even better yet in my opinion. We have to get through the Xen blockade on Route 6, and aid the Prince of the Sands against Team Xen for a bit. We even raid some of Team Xen's ships, including Neved's own, before confronting Neved himself in front of Valor Mountain. We also learn that the Prince of Sands is named Ryland, and read Neved's journal while on the battleship. When we head into Valor Mountain however, we are separated from Venam and Melia and are informed by a mystery man that the mountain has emotions and can change scenery as it's mood changes. With the emotion powder he gives us, we are able to find crystals and change the mountain's emotion as we go. He also informs us as to where to go to find Amber, but we need to calm the mountain down in order to get to her. When we change the mountain into an angered mood, a Xen scientist burns as the place changes into a volcano, and we are able to use magma drift to find the calm crystal which allows us to save Amber. We meet Venam a floor down and we go into this mystical chamber that warns us about a legendary beast. Turns out we have to defeat Kyogre alongside Venam in order to free Amber, Tesla, and Madelis whom were all captured by the beast. Madelis reveals that she had the brilliant idea of kidnapping Amber in order to obtain an autograph from Tesla, which as you can imagine turns out not to her liking. From there we make our way up the mountain, momentarily being stopped by a Xen fortification before Saki comes in and wrecks it, giving us safe passage through.
As we are about to make our way to the summit, we are stopped by Eli and Sharon and swiftly beat them, causing Sharon to go into a bad place which results in Crescent trying to send her to her demise. Saki, Adam, Braixen and Valerie show up to keep that from happening and Crescent takes them away somewhere to battle them. We meet up with Melia at the summit and proceed with ascending, as Team Xen battles gym leaders and rangers all across the Terajuma Island. After Melia takes out the guards, we are confronted by Zetta whom orders Giratina to fight us. We defeat the Giratina one more time and are able to meet back up with Melia to take on Zetta and Geara. Geara reveals that he has guards everywhere just in case they lose, to prevent our escape, only for Jenner to take them out, even stunning Zetta for a few moments. As we try to free Nim in the chaos, the chain gets stuck, and Geara sends Professor Jenner into the lava to burn in front of our eyes. As he lands, he also dumps Nim into the lava as Zetta gets their bearings. We defeat them, however we are shoved into the lava, while they capture Melia, but then all is not as it seems. We are taken to a dream realm after death, and Crescent meets with us, talks with us and then guides us to reviving ourselves. We revive, wake up Venam and confront Zetta and Geara for their one last stand. Despite their injured pokemon, they put up quite a fight and ultimately we win. Crescent then shows up and reveals that Zetta is actually a Solosis with Melia's DNA, meant to be a substitute for her but was not compatible for Team Xen's goals. She captures him and then the Mewtwo from Madelis' lab subdues Giratina, whom abandons Geara. Geara is then shoved into the teleporter and sent back to Xen HQ by Crescent with a lovely message for Madame X. A funeral service is held for Nim and Jenner, honoring them into the Ranger Hall of Fame as well for helping to save the island with their sacrifice. Talon, Florin, and Flora are now going to leave for Grand Dream City, and it seems that Kreiss may head home to Neverwinter as well. The people of Akuwa Town have also been returned to their homes. We end this off by using the key Madelis gave us to get into a secret area of her laboratory where we find Ralts, a new addition to the team.
