Both guys are great talents. AX7 is lucky to have worked with both. The Rev as a person and song writer can't be replaced and will be missed, but Mike Portnoy is certainly a capable enough drummer to carry an AX7 album. I don't see how anyone can disagree with any of that. It sucks that the Rev died, but I can't understand how someone could be so self absorbed as to cry "It's not the same" when they have the best (LIVING) drummer for the job, doing the best he can to help AX7 kick ass.

mike portnoy is actually an amazing drummer, listen to his stuff from dream theater or liquid tension experiment. but he we will never be the next rev. its just not the same
