Sicily solo trip. Days 6,7. Mondello (Palermo). April 2023

I spent a week exploring Sicily as a solo traveler. I used trains and buses to move around, stayed at hostels, and walked A LOT! :) These are the last two days on the island. I went to the beach, the water was freezing but beautiful. The next morning I hiked up the Monte Gallo to get a view at the Capo Gallo from above. The hike is very steep but it´s worth it)

I used trains and buses to move around, stayed at hostels, and walked A LOT! :) I arrived in Palermo airport, and after a couple days went to Syracuse. I explored Ortigia first, and the following day went to Pillirina. It's am amazing place for hiking or cycling, snorkeling, diving, or simply to have a relaxing day at a hidden beach :)

I used trains and buses to move around, stayed at hostels, and walked A LOT! :) I arrived in Palermo airport, and the first two days of my trip I spent in the capital. Then I took a bus to Catania and there switched to a different bus to Syracuse. I left Palermo at 7am and arrived in Syracuse by 12pm.

This day I went to the market, the Cathedral, the Royal palace, a beautiful terrace on top of a commercial center, and strolled along the old downtown streets..

Hiking in Parc del Garraf, Barcelona

We spend a day hiking in the Garraf park which is very close to Barcelona. We took a train to Castelldefels and hiked all the way up to Castell d'Eramprunya. Then we hiked down to Bruguers and walked to Gava to take a train back to Barcelona. It is a beautiful area for an easy hike, highly recommended.
I spent a day speaking only French (sub: EN, FR, RU)

I did learn French in college, it was my minor. I haven´t tried to use it since. Recently, I had to turn down a job offer because my French is not good enough, so I decided to bring it back to the level I used to have. Dedicating a whole day to French helped me evaluate my actual level and set some goals. Activate the subtitles, because the audio is not great at times...
