i remember stacking up ammo in the top loaded machine gun in the baptism by fire level so i could stop the plane in the hangar from being able to take off. never really did anything in the mission itself but it was cool to my 8 year old brain that i could even pull it off

9:50 The big problem with CoD WW2 was that there was so much time and effort spent on high detail cut scenes and presenting the squad as some band of brothers type group. In big red one they dont need fancy cutscenes, you fight with these guys all the way through and they grow on you (or they did for me at least) ill take the guys giving Brooklyn shit about where hes from over a 5 minutes fully rendered, ray traced cut scene about "ma and pa back home on the farm didnt want me to quit being QB of the football team to fight some nazi, but i did it anyway"

There was so much heart and soul on this game, even just in the menu style and music.

used to play this online on PS2 whenever I wasn't playing RE Outbreak. This games multiplayer was Goated. Town Square was basically our "Nuke Town" that was generally a default pick. Campers were usually almost always in that blown out building near the barn spawn area, and the close quarter battles in the buildings were intense as hell. Shouts out to Gela Beach and that other urban MP map that was set in italy.

Indeed. Kinda shocking. Relatively small team, low budget (below 70mil) chinese dev, their first pc game, fair price. Yet they managed to absolutely body most AAA games. What really caught me off guard was the love and care put into the game. I expected a visual showcase and not much more.
