Fish Species Caught In 2024
มุมมอง 9514 วันที่ผ่านมา
In this video we show seven species of fish caught in Saskatchewan. Trout, Pike, Perch, Carp, Walleye, White Sucker and Red Horse Sucker. These were some of the clips that we had fun making. The Pike was one of our biggest this year. The Walleye was our first through the ice at Fishing Lake. The Trout was one of the biggest this year. The jumbo Perch, from Lake of the Prairie, close to a master...
Biggest Walleye Of 2024
มุมมอง 22328 วันที่ผ่านมา
In this compilation video, we catch some of the biggest Walleye we've ever caught. We fished the channel between Stoney Lake and Pelican Lake. We also get a couple at Stoney Lake and Canora Dam Each of these fish were close to a master and around 5-6 lbs. For any questions about our gear, leave a comment/question below. At open water, we'll be going back to these spots. In hopes of getting that...
Ice Fishing For Pond Monsters
มุมมอง 416หลายเดือนก่อน
In Ice fishing for a pond monster, we go back to a local pond and have some fun with the trout. The fishing was slow but the weather was good. We used pickerel rigs and shrimp. Ben chooses to switch to a spoon and it makes the difference in our day. We are still working on the under water camera, trying to get the picture right. Neither of us are camera people, so we struggle with the details. ...
Ice Fishing Whitesand Lake.
มุมมอง 68หลายเดือนก่อน
In this ice fishing video from Whitesand lake, aka Pelican Lake. In this video we go fishing on a windy cold day. The fishing was very slow. We could see the fish on the under water camera. They just weren't taking. Our under water camera is new and we haven't figured it out yet. The forecast said minus 8 and 14km wind. It was minus 13 and 26km winds. The wind chill was the worst. Not only did ...
Pond Fishing Saves The Day
มุมมอง 292หลายเดือนก่อน
After spending two hours ice fishing at Theodore Dam. We opened fourteen holes and put the underwater camera down in each. No fish, but lots of freshwater shrimp and water Boatman. So not to be skunked on the day, we made a mad dash to our local pond. Fortunately, this turned our day around. We really wanted Pike , Perch Walleye but trout will do We spent an hour and a half at the pond and had ...

Hey guys, I really like what you stand for. I started watching your channel because you were fishing bass locally close to Vancouver. Something that was approachable for me and my son. I'm trying to watch your videos and find spots to go with him. I like that you are not fishing with fancy gear and using simple ways to fish and your style is super chill. You seem like cool dudes to me. I'm sad to hear that you have left BC and move to Saskatchewan. But I don't blame you. If I could leave here I would. Everything is too expensive and again that's why I like your channel. 😊
Thank you we really appreciate the comment and that you enjoy the show we are also pretty sad that we had to leave but some times you got to do what you got to do and we will definitely be back to do fishing.
Yeah, with 6 surprise goat kids in the barn and their mothers to take care of (kidding isn’t until March you hussies!) And the brutal cold, I seriously don’t have time for ice fishing. I wonder if McBride lake is having their ice fishing derby again?...
Awe that's cool baby goats. Not Sher about McBride.
Have you guys tried fishing lake this season?
No not yet hopefully will get there.
Nice video! Was that first lake you were at Whitesand or is that Shutte? I haven't been to either of them myself yet!
It's Shutte Lake. Glad to hear you enjoyed the video.
Me watching and wondering where you guys are... Then I see the highway right beside... "Oh I know where this is!!" 🥰 right near home sweet home. For Christmas I scored with a can tire gift card, a Shakespeare salmon rod+reel+tacklebox combo! Finally a rod strong enough for the dollorama musky lures! 🤩 and it wasn't a 200 dollar Musky Rod. 😅
Nice Shakespeare rods are one of the best.Happy new year 🎊
I know im a yr late, but this is my kind of vid, canoe on the water is the best. My ex and I used to fish the back lakes behind Summerland and Peachland, Isintock, the small Eneas chain as well as Deer and Island lake which is in the same vicinity of the Big and Little Eneas. I always used a wedding band, one tho that was called a Kokanee Killer, the best hook I ever had. If no one else was landing any, I never had any problem. My ex would ask to switch rods with me eventually for a while so he could catch some. Always barbless, we would only keep a larger one or two. Love the vid.
Thank you glad to hear you enjoyed the video.
Boys, I wouldn’t worry about it. People are losing reality.Fish On 👍
Thanks will do.
WOBBLES ROCKS!! KITTY BOOTIES!
Thank you 🙏
love yah broski
Thank you
merry Christmas from a green Vancouver . looks beautiful out there!🎄
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
This is my first time coming across one of your videos, and your voice struck me as a narrator’s voice. You sound like you should be reading a Christmas audiobook or children’s story. Merry Christmas from Tennessee.
Thanks for the compliment. Maybe I'll give that a try sometime. Merry Christmas!
nice fish guys and merry xmas happy new year guys
Merry Christmas and a Happy New year. Thanks Don!!
Thanks for the preview. If this winter is colder I'll might start looking at tents and a used sonar.
Your welcome thanks for watching.

Some fatties. Cant wait for some safe ice.
Private pond or public? How far from yorkton?
It's the Buchanan trout pond and members only you need to be a part of the Buchanan wildlife club.
Hi guys it's Austin hope you are having an amazing time 😊
Hey Austin. We're having a blast out here. Hope things are good with you guys?
Nice job! good luck with your garden, hoping for some winter trout fishing, try going to buntzen i go there every week in the summer and catch lots of rainbows on power bait.
Thanks. Appreciate it. Buntzen is fun, wish we had of gone there more. Good luck.
Is this the pond in Yorkton ?
No. I believe, Yorkton trout Pond, is catch and release only. And no ice fishing.
@ what lake is dis den
Buchanan Wildlife trout pond.
nice fish dean and ben from don cowan
Thanks Don. Really appreciate it.
where is this?
It is in BC near the golf course bye Pit Lake.
Hey guys I enjoy seeing all your videos. Any chance you could do some videos from your place, showing how you prep and set up your rods before you head out fishing
Will do more of that soon.
thanks for sharing your videos they are vary well filmed
Thanks for the compliment and for watching.
We are happy to hear that thank you for your compliment.
Bet if you slipped some hipwaders on and walked to that downs branch just near him, you would score 100$ worth of fishing gear! 😅🤣
Not yet maybe next year.lol
Hey guys, I wanna try out my little tin boat there. But I’m unsure of where you would park your truck and trailer afterwards? Lol any advice would be great! Thx and loving the videos
Mill lake is a pain for parking. I have a 12 aluminum and it fits in the box of my truck. Easiest there. But if you can't, Middle of the week, best not on weekends. Maybe able to park at the baseball diamonds. Good luck
@ I lucked out with parking. No fish, started giving up and figured I’d just troll around and enjoy the views with the wife and kid. As soon as I started trolling, boom, landed 4 trout lol.
I’ll likely just throw it in the box next time. Mines also a 12 ft aluminum.
@@ShawnGuild nice good to hear.
Y'all need a grow light... that plant looks super sad.
It all takes time lol
Wow is that river ever low! but happy to see a little more fishing before freeze up! Meanwhile I'm getting routinely skunked out at the whitetail blind. A few big ones on our camera but they are either nocturnal or I don't know where. I hose down in scent killer and the does can't find me but the larger bucks all just vaporized. hopefully with some snow things will change now. :P
It sure is low. Surprised the fish were still there. Good luck getting your white tail.
Oh them little pike are some kind of hungry!😋
They were hungry that's for sure.
Really enjoying seeing your garden Ben and dean, really proud of you both seeing how much you have accomplished on your channel keep it up
👍
good job guys hope it go well for you guys from don cowan
Thanks Don. Appreciate it.
nice fish guys keep it up guys from don cowan
Thanks 👍
hey boys congrats on the progress on your youtube page!
Thanks. It could be faster lol.
Ooo is the river low but its nice to see the fish are well. What was the lure you were using?
A new co-op lure Dean's short u can see it will be back to make a video on these top water lures we missed some big ones.
You found quite the honey hole! Great vid as always, gents. The Fraser Valley misses you but you've transplanted well.
Nice bunch of Mulies!! However I think those may be does. I know males form bachelor groups up until the Rut gets underway. If you saw antlers on some of them, I’ll take your word for it. Cameras can be deceiving. 😅
👍
Plant brassica. Mine r strong after the freeze. Zone 5a. My cilantro lived thru the -30 last yr. It made it thru the whole winter
Good to know thanks.
i live in fishing lake
It is a nice lake
@@OnTheHookFishing ik it is but i would say never live there
Because I’m the first person to like sorry about your pees
Thanks 👍
Please give me a shout out
. Will do. Video coming soon.
Yep, by the time hunting season hits, river fishing is just about wrapped up. 'Till next time fishies!
Ice fishing is just around the corner.lol
@@OnTheHookFishing even bigger lol because while I have ice fishing gear, no one ever wants to go with me. Besides, I’m usually too hyper fixated on kidding season. 🤣
There’s walleye here still in the fall!? Wow! And here I thought they all migrated down stream for the winter ❄️ keep on catching! 🎉 and I also had no idea that perch lived in the Whitesand. Learn something new every day.
It was fun we have caught Perch here and there but they are hard to find in the river and the walleye fishing has been slow bobber and minnow seems to work most of the year.
🎉🎉
👍
I live in red deer and had no idea we had Pike in that pond till this weekend, I have only been here just over a year but its great to know. How big do they get?
The biggest one we caught could have bin One to two pounds.
@@OnTheHookFishing Perfect for my daughter to catch
Fire up that smoker, made me hungry for smoked fish!
Will be Smoking soon.
Great day of fishing! Thanks for noting the rods/reels in the description for us tackle newbies.
It was a good day. Will go over gear more .
i love fishing ❤
We do to lol
@OnTheHookFishing lol my daughter had to comment
We were fishing with minnows lol video coming out tomorrow.
As how one comedian said "let him go! He's just a baby!" I had no idea even baby walleye were viscious enough to bite a big fish lure.
We were fishing with minnows lol
