I wish God was portrayed as female or Mother. To me female is more loving, gentle, kind, forgiving, etc. Maybe I wish that because my earthy father was cold, hard and unable to show love.

So, if I read the bible and believe it and follow it but don't come to the conclusion that God is three persons I'm not a Christian? Even though the bible says there is one God, the father and gives me this impression quite a lot? I doubt if the average Joe Bloggs Christian would conclude the Trinity if left to themselves without pressure and threats such as in this video. I take the threats very seriously but I have the right to find out for myself. I know I repented of my sin, and turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God and I don't need anyone to tell me if I'm saved or not. If someone doesn't recognise me as a brother then they are missing out on my gift and are saying the eye has no need of the hand.

Hi Great News Dr HUGH-- WE have used Galatians to good effect in one of the churches we are associated with -- Please if possible can Subtitles be provided in this series -- also is it possible not to have a musical background as some find it quite distracting ..it may also be possible to pause at significant points and put a static SLIDE into the recording with the main Q on screen to aid as a breakout session a bit like the Bible Society Videos . Quite a lot of requests so just a suggestion

Because nothing says forgiveness quite like the blood of a barbaric human sacrifice. Right?...... Don't 'ya just feel the love!!? So then, supposedly 3 days after the sadistic human sacrifice, the Creator of the Cosmos reanimated the carcas of his son so he could trot around among a small group of ignorant, superstitious peasants as though to say.."Hey fellas, lookie here what I just did! I just brought a 3 day old sack of bones back to life! Aren't you impressed!!? Doesn't that prove what a bad ass God I am? And if you want, I can crawl up inside another virgin's poon hole and do it all again for you!" This is the lunacy that Christians proclaim is 100% true. A god that ignores humankind for thousands and thousands of years before deciding that the time was right to start hanging out with a group of superstitious goat-herders in the Middle East desert, commanding them to adhere to primitive, evil beliefs, all while completely ignoring the lives of the other 170 million people who were living on Earth at that time. Every part of the Christian story is absolute bat-shit crazy nonsense. Christianity is a cult of human sacrifice. Specifically the blood of a human sacrifice. Who send the Son? The Father. How do we become children of God? Being born again of the Spirit and the Gospel of Christ. All Three In One is involved in saving us.

God is not male or female in sense of reproduction, but if you look at the Hebrew and Greek you will see God referred to as He. So He is a He but He is not a reproducing male human. The ancient languages of Hebrew and Greek used masculine and feminine in a other senses. Often feminine is in the sense of subjective include the idea of something, or a philosophy etc. But masculine is used in the sense of objective, that is an actual object. Feminine: office of the president, Masculine: Joe Biden, F: the idea of a table, M: my kitchen table, (also in relation F: the church, M: God, F: an army, M: a General). with the army it isn't saying how good or feminine the army is itself, only that the army would be subject to the authority of the General. If you don't look at it through the eyes of the people 2000-3500 years ago along with their language you wont be able to understand what they are saying or the meaning. The problem in modern times is people jump to a conclusion with a 2024 lens and assume that everyone born before them were stupid and walked through life asleep.

God is a spirit. God is neither male nor female. Realistically, God has been revealed to us by men, through their cultural lens, that's why God is presented as a male with mainly masculine labels, such as the Father.

The trinity is a false pagan doctrine and whosoever believes in it, worships a false pagan god, the trinity god which is not biblical. In the Bible we only find two distinct divine beings: God, the Father, and His [only begotten] Son, known to us by the name of Jesus Christ. And regarding the Holy Sprit the Scriptures tell us that it is the Spirit of God and of the Son. John 14:1 "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me." John 17:3 "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." 1 Corinthians 8:6 "But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him." Deuteronomy 6:4 "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:" 1 John 2:22 "Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son." Two divine beings, and not three. Galatians 4:6 "And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father." And God said, I quote, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." (Exodus 20:3)

God is male because that is how Man wrote God. The reasons the Hebrews were told in the Old testament to sacrifice a lamb in Egypt was because the Egyptians worshiped a lamb... The Hebrew Bible teaches there is no original sin, and that the innocent cannot be charged for the guilty. 🤷🏼 God revealed itself😊 And the sacrifice for atonement is letting a goat run the desert for Azrael, which is why the Romans used to put a goat or a donkey on a cross's head to mock the Xians.

The host is really struggling with standard Biblical truths but I appreciate his heart for the lost. The Father comes first because he was first. Jesus is his only begotten son which means he came out of the father. However, the entire trinity involved with creation Gen 1, John 1. God the Father is male I think as this represents the divine order power/truth/law (masculine), the word, (which also comes from the truth of the Father) love/grace of the Son (relatively more feminine ), the Spirit which is the active agent for us personally and the marriage of power, truth and love. You have truth and power of the Father displayed in the old testament and required in covenant which is "I will be your God; obey and respect, you'll be blessed, disobey, cursed.". In the church age, it's a new covenant of grace which allows us to integrate God's full identity for us. We can't evaluate Old Testament commands for war only through New Covenant lens. Male comes first through Adam as this represents the Devine order just as husband is the head of his wife. Truth and power are displayed first in the O.T. as love without truth is sin and dysfunction. Truth without love also doesn't work through human effort and that's why Jesus came.
