    Nice review. This is a really well thought out pack with some excellent subtle touches, I own it & it surprised me how superior it is to an Osprey that I also have. Highly recommended.

    Can you swim in the river?

    • @davevet9549
      @davevet9549 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. There are two specifically designated areas (likely for safety reasons) one in the beginning of the campground area and one across the road below the bridge. Although I have seen people all along the River swimming or floating…in most areas I wouldn’t recommend it, especially spring and early summer.

    I’m on the fence right now about getting this vs the 30 but that front open zipper to access the ENTIRE bag sold me 🔥 thank you for such an in-depth review!

    Would this pack be allowed for a carry-on for plane rides?

    • @davevet9549
      @davevet9549 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Likely be too close to call…going either way with various airlines. I did take it on a couple short hops in Ecuador but it wasn’t chock full.

    Ty for this review. The side securements helped me through a little stress over not being able to secure mine under the kayak seat which is too low to get my hands under. Thank you again and Praise Jesus. ☺️ The Gospel of John when you're ready, friend.🔥

    I choose the 35 over the 40.

    • @towTruck42
      @towTruck42 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You happy with your 35? i just came home from REI with a 40 because that's what they had in stock. Is it just a few inches here and there that make up the difference? With the lightweight I'm wondering if it's even worth it to try and get just the right size or just keep the extra storage capacity...

    • @SimpleAdventuresLLMSX
      @SimpleAdventuresLLMSX 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@towTruck42 to be honest I wish I would have just gotten the 30L instead. I don't even use the full capacity of the 35L either. I like the extra little space incase but I hated the top brain of the pack. I'm a day hiker only and I thought I needed the 35L turns out I didn't. I also have a Osprey Kestrel 38L and I only use it once. Well made pack but it didn't have the gravity space between the pack and straps like the Gregory's. I might end up getting the 30L before summer hits.

    • @SimpleAdventuresLLMSX
      @SimpleAdventuresLLMSX 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't seen the 40L hands-on but tween the Jade 38L and Men's Zulu 35 I don't even see anything different in terms of space.

      @@SimpleAdventuresLLMSX Hey thanks for the info. I have the same concern in mind - but I guess end of the day if you've gotta have gear lying around might as well have good quality! Have fun out there....

    This should be a narrative free, music free video to display the quietness of this stove. On one viewing I hear someone else voice explaining knot tying. Hope its not the case for you.
