The Winer is Lindell 🎉
Send me one please I’ll be a brand ambassador lol
Not sure why the Lindell sounds brighter.
This is my first compressor!!!! LOVE IT... It has gone way past expectations... Keep it up man! Got the Lin2A as well...I actually sound good singing through it LOL The LinTec too LOL Just had to! LOL I play guitar and Bass and Piano as well so it all helps. I just need more units to complete my set up. LOL
Thank you so much! Appreciate you!
hi....why meter doesn't go back to 0 when you bypass it?
This is normal - the VU meter is an output meter. If signal is flowing through the unit, then there is still VU to be measured, regardless of if it's passing through the EQ circuit.
@@officiallindellaudio5879 Hi thnx....One more Q....When you turn your Low freq knob while playing music....you can hear it cracks....Mine does that too....I thought it was something wrong but I see you do it also.....So its supposed to happen...I am new at this that's why all the questions😂😂😂😂
Hey there, please check in with info@lindellaudio.com on this issue. If you can send a recording of the noise you're hearing that will help!
Sounds awesome
I kind of get 1176 vibes from the Lin. With UA as the baseline, it sounds like KT is compressing less, whereas Lin is compressing more. I actually hope meter accuracy is not high on the budget units' priority list. Thats a fine place to cut cost without sacrificing sound.
I really like Lindell audio! I got the Lin2A and the PEX-500 eq's. I'm planning in getting the Lin76 compressor pair. They did a gorgeous job with the compressors.
Great Shootout! Yah comparisons are some of the best on youtube! Thankh you!
Glad to be of service. :)
Lindell Audio did an exceptional work in it's LA-2A version. It has the same character as the original in it's own way. I love it! I'm getting at least one unit for my vocal chain.
Thanks Charlie, appreciate you!
Seem to shorten kt the & warm demos compared to the others
Stereo version please!
Thanks for the feedback - you're not the only one asking for this!
So which have the most noise? Which ones have a metal chassis? I am in an electrically noisy area.
Yep make it a stereo unit with all the calibrations in the front please
Thanks, we're listening!
@@officiallindellaudio5879 If you make stereo unit with Detented Mix Knob (parallel processing) I will get it in a heartbeat :)
Thanks! You're not the only person asking for that... :)
@@officiallindellaudio5879 yep for the master buss
Gonna grab 2 more of these for the mixbus and im gonna do an honest review on Facebook
Love it! DM us on Facebook when it's up!
Been waiting in your review on this
Thank you for mentioning that all gear may be calibrated differently. I've seen way too many comparisons where people are turning the knobs to the exact same positions and making their judgements solely on that instead of using their ears to compare the quality.
I tried to calibrate my VU meter and nothing is happening when I turn the screw in either direction. Is this thing broke or what?
Hmm. Make sure it's warmed up a bit first and that you're passing an 8 dB signal through the unit at the time of calibration. If that doesn't help, please contact us via the form on our website: lindellaudio.com/en/tech-support
@@officiallindellaudio5879 Ok, at the risk of sounding stupid, how exactly do I pass an 8 db signal through the unit? This thing didn't come with a manual, and the online manual told me to calibrate it with no signal passing through it. So I was back there turning the screw, probably messing it all up, trying to calibrate it with no signal passing through it. Any advice will be appreciated. Otherwise I guess I'll have to contact tech support.
You should be able to set up a tone generator or white noise file in your DAW and send it to an interface output connected to the LiNTEC. Use the faders or tone generator controls to set it to 8 dB. Thanks!
@@officiallindellaudio5879 I figured as much with regard to sending the signal from the daw with white noise or a sine wave, but I’m not sure how to ensure it’s at 8 db.
DAWs will vary a lot and I'm not sure which one you're using, so I can't give specific instructions. That said, somewhere in your DAW or interface's software mixer/controller (if it has one) you should be able to find Output metering. Adjust the test signal to 8 dB while using that meter for reference.
Have you had the opportunity to listen to the Revive Audio modded versions of the Lin76 or the Lin2a? I’m pretty curious how they sound after the circuits are replaced along with the optical sensor. If the Lin76 is really that close to the original sound, the mods may be a waste, but perhaps the Lin2a mods could make it into a pretty impressive unit.
Lin2a T4bla black lion audio. Perfect sound
Thanks!
I will join everyone in the comments, let's put it that way, i am very happy with my lin76 and i actually have a 500 unit IGS Rubberband in my buying list on Thomann, if you make a stereo version of this one or the peq i'll buy it instead.
Understood! Glad you're digging the LiN76 and thanks for letting us know what kind of gear you're interested in - I'll let the product team know.
really wish this was a stereo version in a 1u or 2u size, would love a stereo set but don't have the rack room to accommodate 2 of these
Thanks for the feedback, I'll give it to the product team!
Yes please make it in a one-unit stereo format.
Thanks for the feedback!
🤩Hmmmm not bad at all ! Interesting
Let me know if you have questions!
I've been eyeing these two puppies for a long time now! Hopefully I can soon get a chance to try them on my studio vocals... fingers crossed
Let us know what you think!
For the sake of modern workflows, ease of use, and to not take up so many power outlets why only have a mono version available? A Solid State Passive design would make it easier for a stereo version. Most will be bought in pairs. But we haven't seen very many stereo passive EQs more and more tracks being mixed in the hardware domain are stereo so to my mind it only makes sense. I understand it makes the initial price higher but out of convenience I would get a stereo version and it would still be 5 to 6 times cheaper than a name brand original while still sounding just as good. So I'm just curios why no one makes stereo "program EQs"? I have the 500 series Lindell passive EQs and they are fantastic by the way!
Thanks! This is fantastic feedback and I'll send it to the product team straight away. The more people who speak up like you, the more likely it is that manufacturers will deliver the products people really want. Thanks!
@@officiallindellaudio5879 It just makes sense in the modern recording studio with DAWs we see more stereo tracks today than we did 25 years ago when I started. I personally look for stereo hardware units simply because it just makes more sense to the modern workflows we have today. Especially if you just buy 1 or 2 hardware units for a small desk setup. So thanks for considering it!! Cheers!!
I hear you! Thanks so much!
@@officiallindellaudio5879 since you're listening, if you all put out a preamp./ eq/ comp channel strip with bonus points for stereo unit I would replace many of my current units immediately. i am a big fan of my lin76 both for the way it sounds and looks. thanks for doing it.
Hey, thanks for the feedback! I'll make sure the product team sees this.
Just hearing of their unit today.. doing the research

phat!
Just ordered The Lindell Audio Lin2A - you guys are making some really nice affordable gear! This is EQ is on my list!

@@officiallindellaudio5879 that’s a great price, maybe will get this above my LiN76 🔥🙌
I have a pair of the 500 series version. Such amazing EQ’s. I love yall products
They love you back!
For your drum demo: The Warm Audio release is too slow in this test to compare. Lindell is really nice and would be an ok substitute. The KT is just awful. Sucking and blowing and not the good way. A non-competitor in my opinion. For your bass demo: The Warm Audio, exact same comment. Lindell, best but more obviously than with drums, not releasing quite enough to sound like ‘action’. Guitar: I would not use any of these on dirty guitar. Vocals: Only the 2A really was doing great things. For your $ question, yes the real 2A is worth it in my opinion. It is superb in every single test. Of course there’s a bit of confirmation bias, but the ‘action’ is exactly right to me. Its program dependency is just brilliant. Hate to be repetitive but the KT is absolutely worthless to me. Thanks for the great demo.
Thanks for listening!
The LIN76 comparison video made me choose to buy the LIN76 which I really do love. My only gripe is how I Have to constantly re-adjust the VU meter especially when doing all buttons mode! Other than that… the LIN76 is an amazing budget option! I’m really o. The fence with the Lin 2A because of the VU METER issues that I have with the 76
Hey there, the change in metering is common on '76-style compressors when using all-buttons mode. The original design was never designed to actually be used with all buttons in. It takes some time for the meter to discharge when you do. We also thought it was an issue with our design at first, until we were testing it against other 1176s - both vintage and new - and almost all have that same metering artifact caused by all-buttons mode.
Every 1176 I have ever used in every brand, does the weird vu thing in all buttons in mode. You don't readjust the meter, it's fine it'll go back to normal with a regular ratio.
how about them tubes? there is no information on lindell's site on tubes used on this compressor. anyone?
Hey, sorry for the late reply! The LiN2A uses two 12ax7s, one 6n6 and one 6p1.
I bought one but there is an electrical buzz in the sound. Is that indication something wrong in the compressor?
Hey, sorry to hear that - it's hard to say for sure, on high settings the compressor will also compress any noise and make it more audible. Try different sources and cables, and if it's still an issue please contact our support team via our form: lindellaudio.com/en/tech-support
First of all thanks for revie, now in your opinion for voice tracking paired with tube preamp ( wich have enough color ) wich one should i choose beetwen warm, KT, and Lindell ton control peak and sit in mix ?
We recommend the Lindell. :)
@@officiallindellaudio5879 lol of course you do.
Is this the former Foghat studio?
No, but i am within a few blocks and of the “Boogie Motel”. It’s now an art gallery! 😂
Nice done I think I fall in love with it
Release too fast on Lindell
Maybe your comment was too fast
Yes, overall a much quicker sound. Not that LA2A-like imo.
Sounds good
Man if only Lindell went with the normal color scheme instead of the greenish blue and white thing, it just doesn't have that it factor in appearance like the other. I know that shouldn't matter but unfortunately it does.
This video was the deciding factor that made me go with the Lin76 which Ive paired with a Heritage Audio 1073 Clone with Eq. These units together put out an incredible sound!!!
Thanks, appreciate you!
