My name is Maria and I live in a small house that I’m constantly trying to fit to my needs.
I don’t want to move or buy bigger since it is nice and cheap and manageable.
I am a single mother by choice so my children are often helping me. Emma-Oline does not want to be on camera at the moment but she is absolutely here and a big help as well. Valdemar loves to do things on camera.
Viggo is our dog - a bichon frisè - and he just wants treats and belly rubs.

Oh no!!! A water leak!!! Problems must be solved!
The tiny occasional leak in my shower suddenly got way bigger and constant so I had to fix it forcing me to take a break from Valdemar’s room makeover.
I fixed the leak and added in a bunch of other tasks to do.

Well done Maria!! I'm so glad your plumbing issue was a simple fix. FYI, in Canada, we call those small L shaped wrenches Allen Keys, or hex keys. Allen Key is a registered trademark name, but it's used to refer to all hex keys in the way a hoover is a general name for a vacuum in the UK.

Maria is Copenhagen expensive for a single person?
@@nyG5xsb for living or as a tourist? I never go there but I’m pretty sure it is expensive to live there. As a tourist I think it is the same a other big cities in Europe - maybe even more expensive because of the high taxes. I am more of a chill small town person 😉
@MariasDIYworld ok gotcha
The placement is really good on these- centered left to right but low enough to allow proper clearance for French hook style dangle earrings. A lot of times they used to pierce boys in the exact center of the earlobe as opposed to slightly lower for girls on the theory boys would never wear dangle type earrings and studs and hoops look better exactly centered, but nowadays boys can wear dangle earrings too. When I had mine done at 16 they could see I was so upset and scared that I'd probably jerk at the count of three, so they tricked me, they told me they were just "measuring" and put the guns up to me ears, then suddenly BANG!!! OUCH!!! I was shot and it was done! I bend forward in shock, grabbing at my ears and starting to cry a little bit and they pat me on the back saying "we're sorry we lied to you". But yeah, no way was I going to not tense up and jerk if they actually counted.

@@matthewmartinez8252 absolutely. I’m not sure if you are asking about double piercings in the ears - 2 in a row - but I absolutely would. And even if he asked for other piercings he could have them too. I don’t think he would just yet though. If he asked for alcohol or drugs I would lock him up!!! 😉 So do you already have your ears pierced? If your parents are okay with that I don’t think you should be nervous about the next conversation. Give them room to have a reaction. You are asking to change your look. But in my opinion it is just as easy to go back if you don’t like the piercing. Are you responsible enough to take care of the piercings? That was my condition. You don’t want to deal with infection… So an argument could be “I’m still me. I really just like the look and I will take good care of them”. Good luck!
@ Yes, I was talking about two in a row, that’s awesome you would let him! And yes I was able to convince my parents to let me get my ears pierced, and now I really want my seconds! You should make a video on both you and him trying on earrings or getting ears pierced if that’s something he wants to do.

@ yes I just asked them a few hours ago and they agreed to let me get them done. They said they like the idea because I can also mix and match sets of earrings and have more fun with them. And definitely, I think you should make an update video with him and if wants more piercings

@@dendee1148 I have had some practice and power tools really makes thinks easier but thank you ❤️ I mainly use Ryobi and they are pretty good tools for the price. I have bought along the way - so when I had the money and a project to use them on. You should try. It is very empowering!

@@mermaiddiyartist8119 no, that is pine. That is what was used as ceilings in Denmark a lot earlier. I painted it in an earlier video. But I have seen videos of people adding shiplap to the ceiling. It is quite a workout if you don’t use a lift.

@@TentacledProductions why would it be awkward? Where are you from? How old are you? Maybe you could drop hints and feel their reactions?
@@MariasDIYworld I’m 15 and live in the UK. We’re a relatively normal family and piercings don’t tend to happen, so it’d be awkward to suddenly ask for one.
@@TentacledProductions sometimes parents aren’t as narrow minded as the children think 😉😘 However I am Danish and we may be a little less conservative than English people - sorry I’m not trying to sound condescending. You could try with a “what do you think about ear piercings”?

OMG, I never wanted to grab a roller away from someone so much! I have no problem with the small rollers, but just get more paint on them. It shouldn't look like you need to reload the roller with the first pass. Your son was doing a bit better, but jeez, it's going to take forever at this rate. And don't use a roller with such a deep nap for a smooth wall. Please check out some youtube tutorials on painting. You're making this much harder than it needs to be. It's almost painful to watch you struggle when you don't need to. And why are you using the smallest brush in the world? You don't have to clean the roller between coats, just wrap it in plastic tightly, and it will be good to go, brushes too.
@@RebeccaHunt-wv8bc It was very painful to do as well - the wall is glass fiber. You don’t just paint that. The big roller was recommended by the guy in the store - the wall is not smooth at all. Well it is but al the little glass fiber whatever needed to be filled up with paint. It WAS a pain! And my son was actually doing worse but you could see that because of the angle. In top op that he had paint in the entire tray so I was getting annoyed with him 🙈😅 He was wasting precious paint 😅 but I was grateful for his help.
