Instead of cutting off the overhang on the rug pieces, just glue it down over the front edge to cover up the raw edge of the foamcore😊

Hi. I think a little mix of water and glue sprayed on the curtains pinned down to a board in the shape you want the curtains would work beautifully for you. Your project is turning out so fun. The house bandaids that Ara used would work great for all the connections of the foam boards where they come together. It would hide the fact that they do not all meet like you want them to.

Brilliant- what a great lunch time watch. Wished I had seen this last year before I embarked on purchasing 4 dolls houses 😅- I could have just had a room full of room boxes! And the thing is you are not restricted to size . Love the idea of the carpet tape. Now I have to go off and watch some of the Bentley House and Queen city you tubes. The fireplace is looking good. Hope your finger is OK. Funny story (ish), last Wednesday I cut the tip of my wedding finger while chopping a courgette, the next day just as we were about to go out I cut the middle finger on my right hand on the foil from a tablet packet 🤦. I'm keeping away from sharp objects for a while 😅

Ouch!! Sorry about your hand. Miter shears are kind of scary!! I was thinking about the shutters. Remove the top and bottom pieces and trim the louvered part, top and bottom to the right size. Remember to add the height of the top and bottom parts so it'll fit into your opening. Glue those pieces back onto the top and bottom. Hope I explained that okay. Good luck with them.

Hey Stef, your making progress!! Great idea using the chalk for the bricks. It's going to look great. I also love the I love Lucy show but my daughter is obsessed with her. She's 27 but fell in love with the show when she was a little girl. I think she's seen every episode they ever made at least a dozen times. To this day I can be gone and come home and she has it on tv. I think she watches it on Pluto also. Hope your hand heals quickly. I know that hurt!! ❤❤❤

Hi stef, welcome to my world. I do just the same as you. My husband used to get exasperated with me constantly losing things, I used to say it couldn't be there or there. Nearly tearing my hair out at times. I lost my husband in February this year and I've basically lost interest in making my miniatures. I've got a craft room but it's a sad place for me now. Sorry for being morbid. I love your videos and your honesty I would love it if you lived near to me but unfortunately I'm in the UK a pond apart. Thanks xxx

Tape and float. Place a thin layer of spackling, then smooth tape over the seam. Then, add more spackling and smooth it over the tape. Let it dry, then sand.

The color of the set for I Love Lucy, doesn't really matter. Because the show was in black and white.

I know you didn't ask, but I've found cutting foam board works best with a very sharp new blade and multiple passes. Trying to go all the way through in the first shot makes it jagged......But the biggest trick is a new blade. PS I love that you are making this, I'm following your progress for sure.

Oh I forgot, if you have something kind of warped you can put a heavy book on top to help it stay down while it dries. ❤❤❤
