Up against the cold weather and rough seas for our shot to catch and release winter sails. A skeleton crew and conditions made filming and fishing even more challenging.

At 6:50 who makes that lure? What is it called?
Make more snook vids
Great video! Thanks for the tips. Im in Idaho but take an annual trip to SW Fla for my Snook fix!
I just found this post. loved this info and site. But where did the site go. Only one post! Did it change names?
Question; for your baitcasters, what size or line capacity is recommended for canals/rivers and inshore for smaller game? Like snook and tarps. I bought my first baitcaster yesterday. Picked up a daiwa tatula CT 7:3 combo but I think It only managed to get like 100 yards or just over or 40lb braid. Im used to spinning gear with larger capacity. Is this enough for this type of fishing or should I try to upsize in reel size? Thanks in advance
Looks like over by the coast guard dock in palm beach
I would watch a video on sweeping techniques etc … I am looking to learn how to do this on the west coast
Good stuff man Side line heaven... John has that look of live bait Guilt .. Just saying... NLBN...lol
What brand rod is that
If your fishing mangroves your much more accurate realing leader knots threw tips til the baits like 6 inches from the tip. I've tied uni to uni for years and haven't had one fail in the last 20 years doing exactly what you claim damages it.
my argument there would be the weight and size of the lures we are throwing. its finesse fishing but with heavier gear. over time the weight of the lure takes a toll on the knot as it flies through the guides. mangrove fishing with light leader and lures doesn't cause this issue.
Really appreciate showing the release technique. So many videos with dudes literally chucking their catch after a long fight. Thanks for the tips! As a side question, can you tell me why so many people seemed bummed when the hook a Jack? They seem like really cool fish that fight well.
jacks are super underrated! They are called canal tunas for a reason! ill take a big jack any day
World record is 47 inches
Dope video 👏🏻
Bro I am straight 🚽 at catching bridge snook, gotta try this out
Subscribed. Very informative, thanks! Looking forward to viewing your next show
Informative video with great production value, keep it up! I expect to see your sub count skyrocket
Great video with lots of helpful content - keep 'em coming!
p.s. put affiliate links to gear/tackle so you can make a little dough plus makes it easy for us to find what you're using
Those drone shots are nice bro. Keep it up
Just found you on my recommended just by your content I can tell your page is going to blow up just remember I was here before you hit 400 subs!
Loved the video, was wondering what lb braid you were using and whats with the spider hitch and uni knot? Is that a shock leader?
For snook fishing I like 30lb braid, you can use 20 though. The spider hitch allows you to tie the line to line knot (double uni) easier by doubling up the braid therefor not allowing it to slip the knot as easily. It also acts a second stress point for pressure on the line. It works for me.
@@snookinaround9572 okay thank you, I greatly appreciate you taking the time to respond back. I was wondering if you could make a video on how you do it because I'd love to try it out for myself.
Fuck yeah bro those 50s are out there I’ve been chasing them for 5 years I’ve lost a few that were arguably upper 40s fraying off 100 like it was nothing
Sick, good tips. Make some more videos!
Just dropped another one!
This is a great video, liked and subbed
What's the name of the swimbaits
Spooltek
Love my Juno bait custom. Actually going to the east coast this weekend to go snookin and pick up another rod. I’ll sub
Great video! Very informative…makes me want to go fishing.
like ur vids check us out
You got a new subscriber.I’m usually fishing that marina and it’s nice to see another local who gets out there whose down to earth.
A 5 year old fishing reel is ancient...
seen a lot of Locked drag situations and still works fine, not one service!
Jus gained a subscriber
I'm snookin with ya boys... great content!
Where can I get some spooltek lures? Like yours
Depends on your location, if you’re local to south Florida I’d say any tackle shop really. Some probably don’t carry them. They were well made and then the quality went down when the company switched hands. So I think they got a bad reputation from that but don’t quote me. I still rock them, they work for us.
@@snookinaround9572 do you know any local shops in your area that has them & will ship? I’m from Texas and they don’t have any here, been trying to get ahold of electric ladyfish and after hour colors
@@homerochapajr2481 there's always tackle direct, eBay, or a Google search they'll come up and you can get any color or size.
Nice job. Love the care during the release. I don’t even bother taking the fish out of the water anymore. Seems to help get them going faster.
Do you use the FG knot at all??
I never have no but now I have a reason to try it! Thanks
@@snookinaround9572 try it, you’ll love it. Takes a little bit to tie it, but it’s so slim and super strong. Great for lines with dissimilar pound tests. You’ll thank me again later! Lol
@@butchcassay1230 I agree with the FG you don't have to worry about it going thru the guides it's almost seamless
@@Jeremywalsh7 absolutely. I like that it allows me to tie a long leader so as I re-tie, I don’t have to try to tie a new one all the time.
I haven’t tied it for the reason you said, it takes more time to tie. I have been aware that it solves the “through the guides” issue though. I’ll definitely tie it before I go next and give it a shot. Planning on doing another snook video soon once the weather starts to cooperate some.
Less talking bro you'll get more subscribers
We appreciate the input! thanks for watching.
Some good tips man... subscribing 🤙
Quality content
Bro everything you said in the first 12 minutes I was nodding my head yup yup yup. The cool thing is I wasn't too sure about alot of the topics you discussed but by you discussing them it made me feel better about my decisions. If that makes sense lol. My bad if not. Great video and I'm only 12 minutes in🤘👊
Yessir Same Here Bro He Got Me When He Started Talking About The Left Hand Bait Caster!! Coming From Spinning Rods There's No Way I'm Using A Right Hand Retrieve!!
Massive Snook on the east coast. Awesome catches and thanks for the tips.
Jup resident here thanks for sharing your fishing insights much appreciated, excellent videography and editing as well, kudos.
So much good info 🤙🏾
I see you are local love to see it 🤙🏼 definitely subscribed and looking to more snookin videos. I gotta see how to get to that jetty by land 🤣
Looks like some fun fishing! Tight lines boys!
this is all fun till theres more people and boats at the inlet :/
Keep making snook videos on swim baits or jigs. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🔥🔥
Current and sweeping is important. I don't think I've heard anyone say that on video about Snook before, maybe salt strong but that's probably it.
Insane video man! Might be the best snook tutorial on TH-cam, hope to see more content
Guys great video!!!!!!! Glad to see guys willing to get as detailed as you did on technique! There's a lot of "You Tubes" out there only showing the catch process. I'm out of Fort Lauderdale and hope to be doing the same style of fishing soon. I put in an order for a bay boat 8 moths ago and I'm still waiting!!!! The boat is at the dealership minus the Yamaha engine! Keep up the great work!!!!
Thank you for the kind words!! It is more about the process than the end result. That just makes the result that much sweeter. Congrats on the boat, just another tool in the process! Thanks for watching and good luck!!
