Can the Blackmagic Video Assist make changes/control, as if it were an ATEM, to Blackmagic Micro Studio 4K G2?

New update with ATEM Switcher Software 9.5. You can choose what to output via the webcam!

Could you get away with pulling focus with the 5"?

if you change button 8 from a camera to supersource, does the 8 button up by the Aux output selectors now send supersource down the aux?

Does this work with live streaming suites like stream hard?

if it sends 1080p60… how does the video looks? is it choppy? how is the conversion made? if it doesnt look choppy with dubling the frames than its a great solution!

I wish it had some camera controls built-in, so self-recorders could adjust ISO, white balance, and trigger auto-focus from in front of the camera. Thankfully I can do those things with Bluetooth+ or an ATEM, but it's odd that it's not built-in.

I heard the the brightness of the monitor is ruined outside by the glossyness of the glass. Can you please confirm or deny this?

Nice video! One question: I'v been thinking about buying the Video Assist, but i need to know if it lets you change the output format. If im feeding the Monitor a 4k signal from my camera or record 4k braw, can i change the output signal to 1080p?

I'm a pro flooring installer and would like to start live streaming on tiktok mounting the GoPro on top of my head somehow, and just going through flooring installation so my viewers can see it all live... my biggest concern is the battery life and the whole process of streaming, please get back to me or make a video how to live streak on tik tok always moving around and working with your hands!! Because I can't find any info on that or how to make that idea work!! THANK YOU

So this is the only proper way is over and under technique.

I use and ffmpeg in a .sh file (on mac) OR .bat file (On WIndows) to record growing files .mxf and .mov. The .mov work on fcp only and takes a while to update. (uses copy so little cpu,gpu usage) The .mxf works on fcp and premiere and refreshes faster. (uses quite a bit of CPU depends on resolutions). To record RTMP Stream from Atemin mini or OBS on local production networ, you will need NginxRTMP for both sytems (or Local RTMP Server (Mac Only) by saller github) My workflow is mostly stream from atem pro/OBS/Vmix to RTMP on local mac, and record to. a .mov growing file on mac using ffmpeg .sh cript, and edit while record on final cut pro

Hi, can you still remote the ATEM by Network when using the USB-C Out to OBSBOT/HDMI?

I have the atem mini pro and I need an extra program out. I'm currently using usbc port as a webcam for my computer to stream on zoom. If I use the USBC port as an extra HDMI out how would I then use my camera for zoom without a webcam.

I have tried this all day. I have the extreme just like you but it is not showing video. The obsbot logo comes on for a split sec and then a black screen

Hi, just got this monitor. Focus peaking doesn't seem to be working on the monitor. Zebra, false colour & everything else works fine. Just wondering if I'm doing something wrong? My camera is a Nikon z6. Thanks

control protocols are sent back to the cameras on the program output. If you have aux 1 going back to the cameras then you need to send program over that aux to control them
