Questions: I’m Thinking about getting a Quad Cortex. Why did you send it back the first time? Was the music you were playing as you are building the board from the Quad Cortex? 😊 Did you compare the Quad to the Fractal Modelers? Thank you
I sent it back the first time because its live use is more complicated for the way I use it compared to the Kemper Stage. I have many different presets or rigs in Kemper terms and I don't need to change between scene/stomp/preset mode. Kemper stage has no modes, it has 5 presets per bank and 4 buttons which you can use as stomp mode and a morph button for every preset which is very helpful. So no need to change between modes which saves the extra confusing tap dancing. Also changing banks on Kemper stage is effortless. You press bank up and the lights start flashing, showing you the names of the presets on the next bank and you press the switch you want and it changes straight away. On QC I would have to change to preset mode, press bank up, not be able to see all the preset names of the next bank so I would have to remember which preset I want, then press the switch and press it again to actually change it and then have this unavoidable gap with no spillover possible. With the kemper stage, I press two switches and I am on a preset in a different bank with no gap. With QC I have to press 4 times to go from scene mode of preset 1 to scene mode of preset 2 in a different bank. This is one of the issues I am having with it. If all my sounds were on one preset that would make life much easier. Sorry for the long comment, there is no other way to explain this. Soundwise though I prefer QC just a bit.
@ Thank you so much Harry! I appreciate the explanation! 👏🏻😎🎸
@@HarryDime Harry, have you tried any of the Fractal products?
Yes i had the ax8 also! But that also had similar issues in its live use! Still putting kemoer atage above by far as far as usability!
Those were juicy licks
Thank you yes they are 👌
What a great selection of tunes.
Thank you 🙏
So where is Smoke, universally chosen as the Greatest riff ever? Where is All right Now, Where is Rock n Roll, Where is Highway to Hell, just a few straight off the top, that come to mind.
Go to Chapter honorable mention in the end of the video on 15:54! I played some of these riffs in a previous video of mine so I didn't want to repeat the same riffs! 🙂
Your list sucks, but yep, it's your list, def NOT the top ten!
Harry, this is the second time I've come across one of your videos. Very impressed by the format, love the quick and very useful tips. Just subscribed. Also, I like the tones you're getting from your Les Paul's.
Thank you Tony! I appreciate it 🙏
I hear some Eric Johnson influence in there. Very nice!
Very true. Hidden very deep but it is there! 🙂
These are friggin' great! I love the information on how to practice the riffs!
That's great to hear! Practice away 😁
Rhythm riffs? You should do the greatest solo Riff's so that would mean eruption is number 1 we all know it is but the question is are you up to pulling that one off?
I actually have it in mind to do a Top 10 70s Solos 😉 You will be the judge!
Very informative, enjoyable to watch, not at all condescending, makes you want to pick up your guitar and try everything out
Thank you for the kind words! I love reading comments like this one! 🙏
Next time buy a walrus canvas HD…..
I looked into it but it was a good but more expensive solution! That's why i decided to power my QC with its dedicated power supply
Brilliant thank you
You are welcome 🙏
Incredibly informative. Thanks man!
My pleasure! 🙏
canvas series from walrus has now a dedicated power suply for qc
Yes indeed! I checked that out as well. Still it would be a more expensive solution! That was a decent alternative though!
@@HarryDime I went for the dc7 solution. But I also have a few more pedals on the board
@@TonisGuitarHangout did you have to use the Crux as well? Or did you powerchain?
@@HarryDime with the Crux.
Super Clean!!! Nice
Thank you sir 🙏
Stick the xy and ec controller to a money clip. Then clip that on your guitar.
Will it stay and be steady when i flick the sticks? Ill try it! But for now the stickers work fine!
@@HarryDime yep they do. I have them in my guitar straps. Plus it is easier to transfer to other guitars, so you're not limited.
That's interesting! I never thought of the guitar strap as an option! I will give it a try! Thanks for the tip
Great video Harry mou!🔥thelo tin idia fanela❤️

Subbed Harry. Great playing and delivery.
Thank you Craig. 🙏
Great list of riffs, brother. Thanks!
My pleasure brother! 👌
Try keep your index finger rooted - you'll feel more comfortable with the motions
Yeah i tried that indeed and it is indeed more comfortable. The downside is that it is more noisy because notes are overlapping! After a bit of practise the motion of raising the index finger suited me more! Thanks for the tip though! I noticed that Plini himself plays it the way you described as well!!
@@HarryDime that's fair enough. The overlapping of notes is intentional for the semitone clash to ring out, but it's all down to personal preference. Generally, the way you played it is better suited to a technical exercise for finger dexterity and independence, but there's no reason to say it's wrong. I'd say it sounds too changed for my personal taste, but developing your technique will take care of that either way
@bolt-738 Indeed there is a tiny clash of notes only on the second pattern! I just noticed that! This way sounds closer to the original either way because the overlapping i had was way more than this! I also had overlapping with raising the kndex finger which I later cleaned out!! Yeah both are very similar so indeed it is personal preference! No right or wrong!
Really Cool🎉🎉🎉🎉 Keep on Rockin🎸🎸🎸🎸❤😁
Thank you 🙏😁
fun thks
excellent stuff😄
Thank you Sir
Excellent thx
are there tabs for these riffs
Yes. You can see the tabs for each riff while I am playing it. 🙂
Nice solo Btw you look like Carlos Sainz lmao
Hahahah thanks for both! 😂
Way way way to fing loud
That's good right? 👀😁
@@HarryDime yes and no. I love listening to music loud but in this video (and I know it isn't just the mic clipping) the guitar is just to loud. It destroys the quality of the amp and guitar you are playing very well. Next time try lowering the amp and see how much better it will sound.
@@willpeberdy144 I have checked the Input levels and made sure there was no clipping on the guitar. The sound of the guitar is the one I dialed in the plug-in I used. Hence, lowering the amp would only change the volume and not the quality of the sound. But I understand that it may not be your favorite guitar sound. Sound is a very personal thing :)
@@HarryDime very true
Absolutely NAILED the solo! Nice man! Love the song history as well!
Thank you my friend! I Appreciate the kind words 🙏

Awesome videos bro
Thank you brother! 🙏
Man o man, coolass riff in 3) by Slash, I didn't know it yet.I mean the pulloff from the B to the empty A string.
Yeah that riff has some attitude! 👌
Nice
Great video, very informative🤟👌😎

There is no album named Led Zeppelin 4
Yeah you are partly right! It is untitled but commonly know as LZIV!
@HarryDime untitled is correct. Not partly correct. There is no album named Led Zeppelin 4
@@djavidianmx1832 Untitled album (1971) (commonly known as Led Zeppelin IV)

@sferguson1130 You equate stating a simple historical fact accurately as dying on a hill then add a bunch of ridiculous emoji? That's a bit emotionally unbalanced and embarrassing. Better see your doctor, your meds may need adjustment

Thanks for all of these great lessons! Just discovered your channel today, subscribed and liking this video. That last section in Fairies Wear Boots is probably my toughest challenge.
Thanks for the kind words 🙏 Yes that section needs soecial attention! So take your time with it! 🙂
Dude, Beat it wasnt writen by Eddie. That was an easy one to knock. I wonder how many other wrong "facts" have you said in your videos.
Yes we covered it in previous comments that it was rerecorded by Steve Lukather after Eddie recorded it first, because there was a synchronization issue. And the riff was basically MJs vocal idea so credit to him! I don't know if I have other wrong facts but if you come across any please let me know! Thanks for the feedback!
This was great. Thank you
My pleasure 🙂
Great tips.

Great video but Steve Lukather wrote the beat it riff. Just thought you'd want to know.
Thanks Joel! Actually Steve says that initially it was MJs vocal idea which then was recorded by EVH and then rerecorded by Steve! Check out Rick Beato's interview with Steve!! 🙂
@HarryDime thanks. I'll shut up then. (: that's where I thought Steve said he made that part out of the vocal part. Lol Either way I just found your videos and really like them.
No worries buddy! We all live and learn! Thanks for watching and liking my videos! 🙏
