Welcome to the STEM TH-cam Channel for the University of Kent. Watch videos about our Chemistry, Forensic Science, Physics and Astronomy and Biosciences Courses. These subjects are based in the Ingram and Stacey buildings, which have had over 8.5m investment over the past few years. This dynamic departments has achieved national and international excellence in both teaching and research in Chemistry, Forensic Science, Physics and Biosciences.
We offer a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate taught and research programmes, with some programmes offering opportunities to study abroad and in industry.
Our graduates do exceptionally well in the employment market, with over 90% employed or in further study six months after graduating. Many of our alumni around the world occupy prominent positions in the public sector, in industry and in academia.

Do they actually teach chemistry? The department has been removed
The _structure_ of DNA was indeed discovered in 1953 but Avery discovered that DNA was the genetic material in 1944 and, of course, DNA itself was discovered back in the 1860s by Miescher.
of course bezos is the one funding this shit💀
looking good
I hope you enjoy our talk. Here is a link to our slides: docs.google.com/presentation/d/1D2wU2PZjnz_EGRzXOzf7d2eq-SX3UxCxoRPd4axXQn4/edit?usp=sharing
I completed Master degree in Chemistry. I wish to do Masters in ForensicScience. How can I get admission in University of Kent?.
Como cuanto cuesta uno de esos?
You can go to the liar and say which door and he will lie so it’s that one
Super sir very nice
Hi madam beautiful explanation madam
Such a shame....chemistry used to be so much better. Seems very wet and dumbed down. Oh and we used to get a locker and set of glass lol. We also used to get access and use to full analytical equipment, I used to love the glass makers dept. I, so glad I read chemistry when it was a serious subject and not part of a madevup course
"... used to be so much better."? Considering you studied chemistry I'm surprised you've come to such a conclusion after seeing only one brief video. Perhaps a litle more research would be in order before you publish your findings? "Wet and dumbed down"? "Made up course"? Your evidence to support these claims is what exactly?
This is my daughter of whom I am very proud a lover of math and science now an astrophysicist!
diandra lookin hella smart
What if there was no vacuum? Whould the Bullet explode bevore it hits the target?
It would be very loud and the shock wave would cause damage to the barrels
LOVE this<3
Fascinating, thanks Bob. I'm afraid Karen would make a terrible fingerprint expert.
High quality VR tour of a 7.5 KMS light gas gun and the TH-cam algorithm decides to not show it to anyone. Such a tragedy.
ı appreciate,
I want to work at SETI, can anyone suggest me the path. I have completed MS in physics but I only have research experience of master thesis.
how are you ?
Looking great!
Why isn't there anything related to the forensic science course in the video? You only see physics and chemistry...
Hi Faith thanks for watching the video! In the second half, we do have one of our forensic science students talking about why they chose Kent and helping to highlight the strengths of the course.
I know, I mean that there isn't any footage of anything related to the course, lecturers or facilities ect.
@@FaithTaylor130195 we have included footage of experiments and students in the labs, however there is more footage of other facilities such as the Crime Scene House, that can be seen in our other video we have just released, titled "Why study Forensic Science at the University of Kent". We felt it was important to capture the thoughts and opinions of our students who talk about their own reasons for choosing to study at Kent.
