Are you basing thins on anything else than what you feel should be true? Nobody is saying every Russian citizen is more wealthy than every Ukrainian citizen. However there is more wealty per capita in Russia. Then it's a quiestion of how this is distributed. Thing is, by most accounts Ukraine is and was even more corrupt than Russia. It is also interesting to consider Russia in isolation, what happened after 1989 and what happened after Putin came to power around 2000.

This program is not about Russia and Ukraine. We get your hate towards Russia. frankly speaking, it's your problem and life goes on.

@@ozone9599 frankly, there are many other oddities in this ranking. some Warsaw Pact countries didn't make it into the chart prior to 1990. probably because of lack of data. or was the Soviet Union that rich? or take the Netherlands in the early parts of the video. do you really believe the Netherlands were so poor back in the 1960 or 1970s? Germany was never shown in there despite the war devastation; but the Netherlands were ranked in there for several years. how is that possible? choosing Russia and Ukraine as examples had nothing to do with 'hate towards Russia'; it just makes it easier to demonstrate why GDP data tells you nothing about the quality of life for the average citizen.

Turkey is an European country since it has a small European part in its territory.
