Interesting video mate but the video shakes too much it makes me wanna puke !
Have you a link for the removal tool.. thanks
HI Hi much would it cost to replace the subframe as per the job you have just done or is it like a days work. Thanks
how do you now replace the windshield in the future, or access the wiper motors?
Rubber dinghy rapids brother 😂 nice to meet you today
ha rubber dingly rapids indeed! same as mate ill try catch yuou for pint sometime :)
Great video. Mines a 66 plate 118d I’m doing this job on the driveway at the weekend.
Still got a slight drip coming through the panel 😢 looks like am going to have to take most of and check where it's from Also how do you get the seal back on the drain pipes mine are leaking from them too now 😂 Maybe wasn't a good idea to do this
Great vid mate 👌🏻👍🏻I'll be doing mine tomorrow!.
This was great, many thanks! I'm so glad I found this before trying to fix the handbrake on my van. 👍👍
Where did you buy the replacement sub frame from?
Big like for clarifing the order of the injectors. Big help because i h e an issue with no4 and i was affraid IT was the other one. Big help jeep up
Hi buddy u got a link for the tool you use in the m9r injector removal tool please
Great Video! I recently changed the rear pads and skipped a few of the essential steps you mentioned just before the MOT. Lo and behold, my efforts were in vain as I failed the MOT for the hand break being below requirement. Only wish I took to the time to watch your video, (especially the end on allowing the pistons to adjust before lifting hand break) prior top changing the pads and could have said myself a few quid on a re-test. Live and learn!
How did you fix this?
I agree 👍
thanks good info
No need to remove viper mechanism.
Them sprinters are bad for valve issues, the reason they get hot is from leaking intake valve causes the cylinder to overheat
Really helpful nice one ;)
My sprinter is the same. The seel on the injectors has gone. The dreaded black death.
ahh, well mate, hopefully if you do the same as me you might get away with fixing it for the price of a copper washer kit! how bad is it? whats the symptoms?
@garageorgold7098 I have diesel fumes in the front. Plus just like your injectors they are covered in the black carbon. Looks like the copper washers have failed on 2 of the injectors.
any links to the tool you used please, thanks
hello mate, yes its this one www.ebay.co.uk/itm/285173613820?var=0&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338268676&toolid=10044&customid=Cj0KCQjwxqayBhDFARIsAANWRnQ1gfQ5bsQGg4s30FSRCm-fp3Iv25p_odgl-m8VhMYAFXU7eZYfo7IaAroFEALw_wcB btw i wouldnt mind if you shared this vid :) cheers
thanks very much, i have subscibed
@@garageorgold7098 This is the wrong tool.....
@@macnab88 And the right tool would be?
Can’t understand why you didn’t unplug the two plugs and remove the air filter box completely
hello, yeah i get that, but i i didnt show that the ait filter plug was badly cracked and once i spotted it, i didnt want to waste any time having to try and repair it if it fell to bits as i took it out! just trying to keep the bill down, and i mentioned it in advisorys for the chap.
Wow... never seen that quite so.... well done..
thank you, much appreciated. its a vivaro injector removal tool i used, and i like to try and do things properly, my father is old school, and i learned most things from him. and i wont mind at all if you decide to share the link for me :)
Breather...... rings?.... crankcase compression?
no exess compression from the crank case once running, no chuffing when the oil cap is removed, so happy the rings are intact, i have seen an engine go into runaway from piston rings gone, compression forced the oil in from the crank breather.
Injector cooper washers common on a lot of vehicles
How do you prime the fuel filter on this car!!
hello if i were you i would fill the filter with clean fuel befor fitting it! makes it sooo much easier! hope this helps
Also works well if you have a drill press handy. My daughters rav 4 sliders always need some love.
ahh the old toyota sliders, yes they do rust quick your right! sorry by drill press do you mean a pillar drill? that would work a beast aswel your right
Drill pillar will work as well. The one where you set in your electric drill. I do use a press and set the slider up into the chuck. The rav 4s sliders are pretty narrow and fit easy in the chuck. I can also use a fine diamond file to smooth.
Do these models have adblue? how do you know when to fill it up and how much?
Yes it comes up on your dashboard and you fill it up in boot under the spare wheel.
yup its as the othe liam says, kool name by the way
@liamstokes6396 Thank you for the info does the nozzles in the garages stop when it's full same as fuel?
@@garageorgold7098 Thank you ✌️
@@1LOVE4444 not sure. You can get little bags of adblue I just put one of them in every service.
How do you get the oil filter apart from the cap??
so it is plastic retaining clips, it feels tough, but your going to want to grip the filter in one hand and the housing in the other, and a half twist whislt pulling will do it no problem.
great video mate i have a 2012 trafic with injector fault been plugged in computer at 3 garages but none of them can find what one is fauulty .. my van is in good shape and not trashed just wish i can find out whats going on.. she drives great for having 178.000 on clock only struggles a bit on hills...
hi mate, so i get that everyone uses vans most of the time, but in an ideal situation, you would (depending on budget) either replace all of them, and either code them in, or just drive 100 miles and they will code themselfs in, or if it were my van, i would either, take them off, and send them off to be tested, but that will take an age, or invest in an injector nozzel tester myself and test them myself. then just replace the ones that are past there sell by date lol
Try ya map sensor
@@andyjohn1971 booked in garage to get dpf cleaned out but will ask them about that.. cheers mate
hi have have my 2012 trafic 5 years shes a very nice van but started having injector problems but when pluged into computer at 3 local garages they cant find the injector thats faulty.. .still drives well till you hit a hill then got to drop gears as she loses power.. i guy on ebay was selling a trafic like mine and he had done 4 new injectors i asked him how much it cost him and nearly had heart attack when he said £1500..... steve in north wales
so injector fault would throw up a code, or you would hear it whilst idling, when you rev it, do the revs hang? like hesitate for a while before dropping again?if it happens under load and all at once i would say thw turbo is more likely at fault, do you get any smoke out behind?
@@garageorgold7098 hi mate thank you for reply van fixed turnt out at end was dpf sensor so far lights not coming back on..... had brand new turbo 2 years ago ..thank you again
I have an issue with mine with struggling to crank on a cold start with loads of white smoke! No error codes or dash lights, does this sound like injector issue?
hi mate, so unfortunately white smoke most likely means head gasket, not such a big deal, but only way to know for sure is to either pay for a compression test, or buy a tester and do it yourself, depending how handy you are.
How did you solve the water coming through? I have the same problem.
Take off the scuttle, remove wipers and clips then remove plastic scuttle to reveal metal scuttle underneath, unplug the wiper motor and the washer hose, undo the torx bolts , take off the scuttle panel, clean it all up and clean out the drainage tubes then run a nice bead of silicone all along where it sits and squash it back on, then refit etc
Ok, thank you for the guide
@ th-cam.com/video/lQ1KMwb7jPA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=eMRcvn6_ncaBQbsY This will give u a visual guide of how to do it, I done mine and all dry since, happy days
pretty much as the guy jumping on my posts says, but make sure you seal the lower scuttle panel not just the upper one, and keep thosse drains clear, especially if you live in a wooded aria!
Your thumbnail is misleading
so is your profile pic, but i dont judge
@@garageorgold7098 constructive feedback. That’s all.
Hi great video very good job. i have a audi a2 1.4TDI 182,000 this has never been changed all though cam belt was done 2 years ago. Can the oil pump chain be done with out taking engine out and removing the cam belt?
hi thank you i appreciate it, and it sounds like you have been lucky with it so far! so good news is that you dont have to take the engine out, was just easier for me as i was changing it anyway, but you do have to take the cambelt off, how many miles have you done since you had the cambelt changed?
its been about 15,000 since i had the belt and water pump changed
would suggest (only suggest!) that the cam belt may be good for another few years, althought if it were me, if you have to take the cambelt off, it makes sence to replace it, as the labour is already paid for, and a cambelt kit from gates is only around 100 pounds, but its up to you. if you get the kit from a reputable auto fators i would say it should last a lifetime with proper maintanence. good luck with your car, hope i have hepled somewhat!
Ok that's great Thanks for advise keep up the good work
Hi well explained video keep it up your channel is great👍🏼 I have the same problem on my 2006 trafic dci 115..... now I can't get it to start properly anymore it only runs for 2-3 seconds and turns off straight away. Error code is p2146 and p2149 I also had the feeling before that it was getting worse and worse, it simply shut off while driving and always started fine, only now it happened more and more often. would you have an idea? Thanks in advance
hello mate, first of all thanks, glad you found it helpful, and those codes are for a short to the injectors, have you had the scuttle panel sealed like in the video? how dose it sound when trying to start, dose it cough at all? or just tuen o?
Let's take a moment of silence for he beetle (4:09). (...) Okay. Proper job you are doing here! Customer should be happy!
boris the beetle, gone but not forgotten, may you get to eat loads of aphids (or whatever they eat) in the next life lol And thank you buddy customer is super happy, appreciate the comment!
Thanks very helpful video buddy
Glad it helped pal dont mind at all if you share the vid lol
Very informative thanks for posting I had exactly the same with my vivaro and the water took two injectors out I couldn’t remove the injectors from the cylinder head had to buy a reconditioned engine at £2000
ahh im sorry to hear that! hopefully your van has been fine since? well i hope that some people will watch this before the point that the damage gets too bad! its a pretty simple fix, as long as you know where to look! if you could share this vid, i would be much appreciative,
Its not at all overly loud👌
cheers, lets hope the mot guy feels the same way!
Is it the same for model 2016??
yes i believe it is
Better clean your junk house !
duely noted, ill get your mum on it when she turns up later
Those front panels are all available as it's a common area for rust on the 205.
many thanks, i should have searched further before making them!
Great effort that, mate. I used to weld tankcontainers with MIG and stick and the material was way easier to weld than piss thin car stuff. I did weld my old XR3i floorpan years ago with a stick set. There was more pigeon on it than Nelsons Column lol.
haha i get that lol first time i tried to use arc was on my exhaust, upsidown. on basically a beer can thin metal. not such a waste of time, more a lerning curb lol
Me again I've changed mine but I can't get any tension in the belt The tensioner doesn't seem to have any adjustment other than spring loaded am I missing something Some videos say it's a stretch belt but I'm not sure and in your video the with no sound it looks like you have a extension bar in that area What have I done wrong?
hi pal, so i just saw this comment, you have probably gotten this sorted by now, but if not, message me and ill help you out
❤❤😂
The last laugh was hilarious 😂 Cute pup!
haha thanks :) hes a funny little guy
So adorable haha. It reminds me my dog when she was also trying while she was a baby. No matter where they're always adorable 💙
ooh your right they are, watching them learn new stuff is so cute! what dog was yours?
@@garageorgold7098 my dogs are terrier havanese. They were way smaller compare to normal dogs because of their breed so they looked like they were meowing instead barking haha
Ahhh ❤❤❤
i know right
Did you have to remove the cambelt to change the pump
no mate, the pump is auxilery driven, can do it without removing the belt.
Was this a 1.0 ecoboost engine as I thought the pump had a mount for timing belt adjuster on the casing.
Where abouts are you based? Ive got a 205 that needs welding, but not as bad as that one! Impressed with uiur work 👍👍
thank you mate, and west wales, miles away from anywhere :)
@@garageorgold7098 I'm West Wales too mate, llanybydder, that's why I asked incase you were fairly local 👍
At the end of the video you mentioned about wasting all the handbrake adjustment by pulling on the hand brake first before pumping the piston up to brake discs via the foot brake. Absolutely bang on there mate. I paid a £100 to a mechanic to adjust the handbrake on a Renault Master 2007 motorhome and it was ok for about a week. I noticed it first when putting the vehicle on levelling ramps on sites. Just got back from a month away and it barely holds on medium incline without ramps. The mechanic said maybe we need to check the handbrake cables now to see if they are stretched. Sounds like I may need a new mechanic. Thanks for the video I now understand the mechanical handbrake system at the caliper. Doubt the mechanic will appreciate me telling how to do it though haha.
that sounds exactly what the problem would be to be honest, its easy to miss, maybe your guy was just having an off day! its like anything, its simple once you have an understanding of it inst it? hope the guy gets it spot on for you, you dont want a beast like that rolling off! difficult to explain to the insurance that one :)
How did you fix this?
