Performing Arts Preparatory School is a 27+ Year old Private Award Winning Performing Arts School in Northern Virginia offering premium educational programs in Acting, Piano, Theatre and Voice for ages 4 to adult. @@gabbybeaumont8461 just the idea of aladdin in general (at least in the western sense). i mean aladdin is supposed to be set in china anyway. the movie is just a cultural appropriation fest. (not even one culture, they mix gulf, persian, and indian culture together. the way that they depict brown people is disturbing. also, the main characters and the good guys a whiter than the rest.) im assuming this is based off the movie. white children playing caricatures of brown people isn’t my cup of tea.

@@gabbybeaumont8461 im not so much bothered by the cast as the fact that this is a play at all. it’s terribly out of date to put on Aladdin when it’s not known for being the most culturally aware. Plus, it’s this type of casual racism or insensitivity that perpetuates dinner table racism or stereotyping
