Lo curiosos es que esta version se utilizo para el opening en latinoamerica dyrantes los años 60s a los 90s, solo dejando el tema en instrumental, y el mismo narrado por pedro anibal mansilla

Cool music from a show I watched 50 years ago, thanks! Check out the 8 Man music by searching "8マン". I thought that was much better then the American one. But I think the American Gigantor music is better then the Japanese version.

They worked hard on this. But I like the U.S version more.

Wow. The Japanese version has a full orchestra and I dig that drum solo in the beginning, sounds like the opening to a large Hollywood production from the 50's!! Much classier than the American version and much better musicians playing in this version!
Not “much better,” just different. The Japanese version has a full orchestra while the American version has a brass band.
Given the era the dub was made, they couldn't have done it better. Despite recreating the instrumental track, they at least translated the original Japanese theme song. Dubbing standards from that era tend to create their own theme songs to make it "more suitable for western audiences." This and Astro Boy were an exception.

It's neat that the dub theme was at least based on the original, considering how many old dubs changed the opening entirely.
Sailor Moon is another example.
How do you top the original? Just the production value is amazing. I bet they tried but ended up just going back to the original.

Snake Oiler: *falls off of a cliff and almost dies* Speed Racer: Lmao time to get funky
I think he does die in the anime. His car leaks oil, the oil ignites and blows his car up.
Are you basing this on that scene from the movie? In fact if this was the 1960s when his car flew off the cliff you'd hear his scream as it explodes, killing him, I even did the "I got Racer" bit in another videos comment section as if it was a 1960s episode(see below) "I got Racer" *Kram turns his car inwards to ram Speed, in reaction hits the A button on the wheel to make the Mach 5 leap over Kram's car, Kram screams as his car collides with a pillar and explodes, killing him.* Snake did die in the anime, trying to beat Speed, his car leaked Oil which ignited and blew his car up, the Car Acrobatics Team promised their revenge and in a later race between Speed and the Car Acrobatics Team Speed nearly falls off a cliff, Kobra(Snake's brother) provided the infamous line "He's going over that cliff" before his scream as his car went over the ledge and Kobra was killed, the line in Mach Go Go Go was "You Fool" then scream
If I remember correctly, Speed tried to warn Snake Oiler, but Snake ignored him because he was too caught up in trying to win the race.
