I’ve spent a year with this watch before writing a review. I’ve had several watches from the major watchmakers over the years and I wanted to try a “micro brand.” I liked Vaer because they’re an American company and sell watches that are USA assembled, so decided to try them. I have been hard on this watch. Intentionally. It has been in lakes, in oceans, in rivers, I’ve showered with it on more...

Very nice!
Nice!!
Nice watch!
Safe riding my friend!!
One of the smoothest burnouts I've seen
Keep this video coming!
Living the life.
Keep it up!!❤
Have you done any suspension tuning? What mods have you done besides the exhaust? That bar looks aftermarket and I see you have acerbis handguards too!
Yes it has the suspension from Bruce Triplett. His front springs and a Hagon adjustable rear shock. Protaper bars and the Barkbuster guards are super sturdy. Just put a Flatland Racing metal skid plate on too.
Would have been good to see them in some mud or sand. Promising, but with reservations.
Haha no sand around here, but they don’t do the best in mud. I’d say they’re more of a 70/30 tire than 50/50.
Did you notice any power difference? It looks awesome but sure is pricey
It feels a little quicker, but def. not going to blow your mind. Yeah the price made me hesitate on buying it for like a year haha. But, in all the sound comparison videos I watched, the Yoshimura sounded the best to me. Which is true, it sounds like you got a totally different bike, and it’s beautifully made, the welds etc, and a bot lighter than the stock exhaust.
Trees and golf courses screw up really good riding areas!!
Was there any weight reduction vs stock?
Ehh maybe a bit but not a big difference
the things us 2.5 owners do to overcompensate for not having a GTI is hilarious
My family has both my dad has a 2.5 and I have a 2.0T fsi, the NA inline 5 is a smoother more balanced engine and with a turbo and some internals and a tune the 2.5 would be miles ahead of the 2.0T in terms of RPM and power. Plus more or less people with rabbits just enjoy a pure driving experience, they aint trying to compete against GTI's or win anything
Gotta love the sound of a 07K!! Autopower didn't do a very good job at making those bends on that roll bar fit any tighter to the chassis. I've found with those bolt in roll bars, it helps greatly to reinforce them with larger 'back-up' plates, gussets, and it definitely doesn't hurt to weld the base plates in after you bolt them. I ran one in an E36 and when i made those mods/ improvements it made a huge difference.
Ran a set on my 2021 atas and still have nightmares about them! Great on road absolutely shit off road!
Yeah def. more of a 70/30 vibe not 50/50.
Well said. I agree.
Don't "tests" usually have results?
nice irding!
Pushing the whip!
It's so funny when cars sound like absolute monsters under full throttle but seemingly don't accelerate at all. The sound of this thing is absolutely amazing.
Haha that is def an accurate description.
Great sound

Good stuff!
Studded tires? Or just stock?
Nah just regular
Sounds like a Lamborghini
Why all the hate? It’s a quick video; if you didn’t like it, you only wasted 1 minute and 19 seconds.
🙌
Great little blast in the snow ❄️ 😀 👍🏻
Nice bike!
Do you know how many pounds did you shave off stripping it completely like that.......I am very curious?
I should have weighed it all but it was too much and not all done on the same day. The stock seats weighed A LOT. It felt noticeably different though right away, even just normal driving on the street you could tell.
@@wanvaldez Thank you! Awesome job you have done with the car. ENJOY. I was planning to start track days with a Civic, but they are overpriced, high mileage and hard to find a clean one. Otherwise they are a little lighter than the Golf and may be have lower center of gravity, because you sit on the floor. I like the Golf better, it is more solid and have German suspension parts for it. I just got a new Jetta Sport 1.5t. and reminded myself again the pleasure of having a manual. But I wouldn't take it on a track. I want to start with something a little more beat up and budget friendly with huge aftermarket parts availability. Also would prefer a N/A engine on a track, because of the linear power. Awesome choice is the 2.5 👍
@@AlexD-xr6so yeah man, manual is so fun. It seems like you are on the right track, having a “beater” car for track days is def. the way to go. You are way more willing to try mods and change the car when it’s just a cheap secondary one you’re not relying on to get to work.
Yep. I have figured out, instead getting a GLI, better get the Jetta Sport and for the difference get a car for the track. Will have lots more fun and can sell it anytime if I need the money. And as you said will feel lot more free towards mods and upgrades. Thank you for all the info you have provided in the video and the comments.
@@AlexD-xr6so yeah dude, for sure 🙌
I cant stop watching this video. Was looking for a cheap way to get into some weekend racing and this is perfect. How's the 2.5 held up? Did you refresh it all before taking it out?
Nah just regular maintenance, obviously perishables like plugs, filters, fluids but that’s it. Plus side also the 2.5s are fairly easy to find and cheap. Actually, my friend is using the car track-only now and he had the young son of HIS friend try a track session. Kid shifted from 5th to 4th…buuuuut it was actually 2nd and buhbye original engine. New one’s already in and it’s out running again tho.
So yeah ummm .. I could ride my triumph speed triple down that trail with slicks on it.. go do a proper single track please thank you
Plenty of other videos with it on my channel. Lemme know when you post that speed triple video tho haha 🙌
I'm not crazy about rocky sections here in Western South Dakota, but, they have to be dealt with. I once got 'caught' on a jeep rock crawling trail...whew, what a pain that was. Skid plates are a _must_ here in SoDak, hand guards are a should have, but standing up instead of sitting helps a ton as well. Ride safe.
hell yeah! N/A monster! How's that stage 2?!!
Haha it did make a noticeable difference. I think the weight savings really did too.
@@wanvaldez I've got a rabbit too. Funnest car I've ever owned.
@@wanvaldez if you're done with the flash tool, send it my way. 😂
Trailmax work fine on improved surfaces just take it slow in gravel covered corners like driving on marbles. Deep sand gravel mud not so great. Excellent road tire great Longevity . I prefer Motoz ADV off road.
no tire works well in gravel covered corners bro , back tire is great , front tire needs work.
Just wondering which Remus did you get. Also I'm assuming it has the sensor connector just like the oem exhaust?
Hey man, it’s the Remus Okami slip-on. It’s just the muffler, super easy to install. The main stock “header” part of the pipe coming off the engine all that remains.
Ol’n’´´´´´´´´´´nn ol’´´´l’
Looks fun. I love the reference in the title
Damn! The sound is incredible!!
I want a 5 cylinder rabbit now
Engine specifications bro ?
It has the intake, intake manifold, and engine map from Integrated Engineering. I never had it dynoed so I don’t know where horsepower would be at. Butt dyno it feels like low 200s horsepower. It’s a 2.5 liter 5 cylinder that started life around 170 hp I think.
@@wanvaldez yeah great.thanku for feedback bro ❤️🙏
How long did it take y'all to get to Kelly's Ford?
If you just float it takes about 2 hours maybe a little more but if you paddle you can get it closer to 1
How much you weight? Any suspension upgrade?
Prob. 200 lbs with gear on. I forget which suspension is on there for this video but now it has front and rear suspension from Bruce Triplett Suspension.
@@wanvaldez hi. Can I know the price of the bruce's suspensions please?
@@cdl6661 hey man, the whole suspension setup was around $800-900.
Scary car man hahahaha
... ... and? Review Huh? Wha??? Nothing?
Never said it was a review, like the description says it was my first time trying out the tires off pavement. They felt good but wore out decently quick. I have Dunlop Trailmax Mission tires on there now and they are noticeably better off pavement. We’ll see how long they last. The Dunlops cost more than the Shinkos though.
bro shift the damn thing
Nice.. 👌
Hello, sorry for the inconvenience, how often is your maintenance?
I just follow the schedule in the owner’s manual. No issues with the bike so far.
