Michael is the alien, his alienation from his family throughout the game. Franklin is the cracked egg, signifying the new life he had throughout the story, Trevor is the jetpack, signifying his past as a pilot. The line under Michael and Trevor signify that they met before the story took place. Michaels line hits Franklin first because he met him first, then Trevor’s line hits him after. Franklins line goes straight up while Trevor and Michaels stop at the x’s because they both can die, but Franklin cannot no matter what ending. The five x’s signify the five things needed to complete the game 100% Missions, strangers and freaks, hobbies, misc, and random events.
